Who was the ruckman?
Myers? Promising young player I’ve seen him play a couple of times.

Who was the ruckman?
Not sure the GV would want a mid road BFNL that plays on a kids oval and geographically 2 hours away on average from every teamIf I'm the gv I'm calling them and giving 50 points to play with and say come over to a better league
It's an hour and half from shepp to bendigo isn't it?Not sure the GV would want a mid road BFNL that plays on a kids oval and geographically 2 hours away on average from every team

If the bfl keeps going downhill, south going to gv would add a point of difference to play in a better compNot sure the GV would want a mid road BFNL that plays on a kids oval and geographically 2 hours away on average from every team
Have to disagree with you old boy. I worked pretty closely with Carol on a few things and found her great to work with and very proactive. Very open to communicating with clubs. Even attended a Thursday night training with other AFL CV staff to hear from committee, players and supporters. Can't help but think that Carol Cathcart was the start of the rot.
Left a region in turmoil with no direction and leagues without leadership.
Filled her own coffers on a baseless reputation. footy and netball in the region is divided and so much worse for her presence.

The next bloke. On the other hand.
I don’t recon he left his office, or watched much footy outside of the Bendigo CBD.
He had 2 COVID years of no footy to do something. Besides supplying clubs with purple vests for Covid officers.
Could have used that time to engage with every club in the region and redevelop the 2018-2022 strategic plan…
Hmm Carol has you under wing. Was the in charge when the points erupted in the ncfl and let club v club lead the way rather than showing authority. Then left and left the quagmire that is
No chance South go to GV ever. They would go HDFNL, LVFNL before GV.If the bfl keeps going downhill, south going to gv would add a point of difference to play in a better comp
Trucks a good operator and he's in the heart of club land. It might be easy to single out Carol rather than others on the boardHmm Carol has you under wing. They've recruited a bunch of HDFNL players, netball and football, paying overs and seriously expecting to contend in the BFNL. With that approach perhaps they're better suited to the HDFNL, they might at least play finals out here.No chance South go to GV ever. They would go HDFNL, LVFNL before GV.
Peter white straight from mounts to Carlton, Grant weeks kicked a ton coming to square from colbo, toot Morgan won league medals in the gv and bfl from colbo, the locky boys always play well in the gv and bfl, not sure what's wrong with recruiting from the Heathcote league. Don't see anyone of Peter White, Weeksy or Toot's calibre announced. Lot of points and cash spent, especially compared to Castlemaine who are recruiting blokes with AFL/VFL and Premier league experience to contend.Peter white straight from mounts to Carlton, Grant weeks kicked a ton coming to square from colbo, toot Morgan won league medals in the gv and bfl from colbo, the locky boys always play well in the gv and bfl, not sure what's wrong with recruiting from the Heathcote league. Good point but Castlemaine are very fortunate to have a coach with the background and connections to achieve this type of AFL/VFL recruiting. No other BFNL or GV clubs are in this position. If I was a South Bendigo supporter I would be pretty happy with this year's recruiting.Don't see anyone of Peter White, Weeksy or Toot's calibre announced. Since our friends at the addy don’t like to rock the boat, I’ve taken it upon myself to make a few calls. Things just get funnier - it’s surely time for heads to roll now.Still nothing about Souths points drama ? Are they losing 3 for not making the finals ??

I'd love to know where it says south play with 43 for them.to pull that number out. They were worse than maine last year and should be on the same pointsSince our friends at the addy don’t like to rock the boat, I’ve taken it upon myself to make a few calls. So it turns out South were supposed to be on 43 points last year, not 46. Which would mean their 2025 allocation is supposedly no change to 2024. Here’s the problem - the league loaded South with 46 last year into PlayHQ, which was a major error. On 8 occasions South played with 44 or more.
The league’s stance - nothing to see here, don’t tell anyone, retrospectively change South to 43 points for 2024, no sanction for South playing over, everyone keep quiet and nobody will notice.
If you look in PlayHQ today you’ll see the games where they were over. The fact that PlayHQ doesn’t let you enter a weekly team if you exceed your point limit is evidence it’s been changed post season.
And to think the clown that let this happen is now in charge of the entire region, god knows what’s next.
The longer time goes, the smarter Kyneton’s move to leave a sinking ship looks. I’m absolutely convinced more will follow sooner rather than later.

So did they issue themselves with a fine? Because if it was club volunteers that made the mistake points related it would be:Since our friends at the addy don’t like to rock the boat, I’ve taken it upon myself to make a few calls. Things just get funnier - it’s surely time for heads to roll now.

I know a few clubs North of Bendigo were keen to hear from the Picola Football League on how it works for them.So did they issue themselves with a fine? Because if it was club volunteers that made the mistake points related it would be:
1. A please explain by the club and volunteer
2. The club would then receive some form of penalty, either points taken off or a fine.
And the hubs response would be a copy and paste response signed by whoever is in that role this week.
Time for clubs to wave goodbye to the hubs and the ridiculous points system.
