Had the pleasure of watching weeksy slotting through his 100th goal of the year on saturday night, the guy is a absolute champion.
Gee golden square would have to to have a absolute stinker in the grand final to let it slip this year, as they are easily the best side i've seen in the bfl for a very long time, and they deserve everything that comes their way.
Gisborne would be the only side i could see knocking them off but for this to happen gis would have to play out of their skins and g s would have to be right off the boil for that unlikely scenerio to happen.

Is there a better side in the entire VCFL? Id have the current Square side well above Horsham Demons, who have won the last 8? flags on the trot (albeit less competition)

You would be foolish not to consider Echuca and Shepparton United. The quality of those sides is incredible. I know Golden Square beat United in their pre-season clash, but both of those sides are about as good as it gets in country football. Don't assume I'm saying they are better than Golden Square because because they play in the 'almighty' GVFL however. I'm just giving my opinion as I've watched my share of GVFL and Bendigo FL games this year.

In saying that, I believe the top four sides within the GVFL would all be imposing prospects, and Golden Square would be right in the mix. I can't really comment on the Geelong, Ballarat or O & M sides however.

The Dragons are coming! what a great win probably our best of the year I would have to say. Fantastic team effort but plenty of work to do to even make the finals yet but I might put a pineapple on them just in case we really get on a roll. We were 67-1 before yesterday but you would think we would have to come in a fair way now. Do you think ppl would still be backing Square at $1..10?

Maximum Bet is $1000 so hardly worth it.

A sneaky couple of dollars on Sandhurst might be a better bet. Seems as though they have all the momentum to make some noise in September if they can sneak in.

which one will the dragons tip out, maxie: sth or storm

only 1 of those 2 will come out of sunday at the q with a win

the hurst should win their game u would think

The Dragons won't tip out anyone if they don't beat Castlemaine on their home ground- that is all the club and supporters (such as me) should be thinking about.

Re: RDFL Thread 2011 (Part 2)

Heres one for all the Kyneton Knockers... Nathan Thompson signed on as Co Coach with the greatest country coach possibly ever (Derrick Filo) and as a player for 2012. This will NO DOUBT bring the tigers back to where they should be. They will recruit better than ever and be winning club once again. You heard it here first, watch out Pickles I might take your job your supposed to be the man in the know! Might change my name to Damian Barrett!!!!!!!:thumbsu::cool:

how will they recruit, " better than ever" last year's player's still haven't,been paid.

If the Dragons could get over the line against Gisborne (and for that matter don't get rolled at Castlemaine) the five would be settled in the last home and away game for the season. What a massive match the Sandhurst v South game would become in these circumstances.

What do you think?

I think your call was wrong. Big anti-climax today.

Maryborough FC have reappointed Matt Aston following an unexpected win over Strathfieldsaye to finish off their better-than-expected season. BoG Tyson McIlwain also a deserving winner of the club B & F.

Is Daryl Wilson overrated? Has spent a lot of money at K Flat and Storm for questionable results.
