That article is in contrast to what is being said earlier on in this thread re: Pears. I think they just write 'strong performance' to justify wanting to bring him in next week.

No surprise to see a divergence of opinion.
My observations from watching VFL standard footy, is that pundits often have unrealistic expectations of senior AFL players. Unless the player dominates, he has played poorly. Often the player is playing a prescribed role, working on s a specific weakness etc,etc,etc.
