I wouldn't say indigenous players specifically, I would say all of our players. Who are the best at getting talent out of their players? Clubs like Sydney, Hawthorn, Collingwood. That's why they're at the top. We need to strike more of a balance between having a squeaky clean image and being a competitive football club that's in the mix to win flags.

What is his contract status? I am sort of inclined to think he will hang up the boots at the end of the year if he is out of contract.

For the record too, I though LeCras looked very classy around the stoppages on the weekend. I know how good a forward he is but in the interest of strengthening a weakness I would be happy to see him in the midfield more often.

He is about the only guy with consistent genuine class, he needs to be a full time midfielder. He would make the opposition have to think about someone outside of Shuey.

I've got a very open mind with Newman. If he trains the house down this summer and claims a spot if be stoked. For some reason though I think Garlett will be playing for West Coast next year.

Not sure Garlett is ever going to get his s**t together. I do have hopes for Newman though and from reports in the off season Newman had impressed Simpsons with his training.

Little bit of a crystal ball. Are the bolded inclusions realistic? Pickett looks a goer for our first pick, Rohan seems to be out of favour a bit and would do well on the vast expanses of Subi, Mora could be a target if Freo keep him out for much longer. Bit tired of the likes of Masten (sorry champ) and Wellingham getting pushed around so much, likes of Colledge and an (eventually) experienced Sheed could help. Need to focus on having better users in the middle too.

Loving the look of this team, I'd personally like us to chase Tom Mitchell rather than Rohan. Also Mitch Brown will be in our back line. I hope we pick up Pickett, think he's what we need. Morabito would be a great pick up as well!

We are lead to believe that is the norm with all our players, he will have to train a few suburbs down before it's something of note

Really like Ellis, just don't see him as a long term prospect. I was kind of putting the team together for the future, and the future looks scary :/ I suppose I should of also took Priddis out then and replaced him with xxxxx nothing.

not sure what he has left on his contact but if it is expiring this year, i reckon give him a year deal and see how he goes next year, i still think he has somthing left in the tank, curtainly more then cox and glass had

I'm not sure I expect a huge change next year by round 1 - probably just Tunbridge, Lycett and Colledge in the side. The midfield dynamic won't be changing any time soon. Cannot fathom how we might expect to recruit Morabito either.
