Sampi wasnt too bad, we don't know about Newman just yet. Weedon was a disaster and Garlett was a bullet we dodged, thank god.

I wouldn't say indigenous players specifically, I would say all of our players. Who are the best at getting talent out of their players? Clubs like Sydney, Hawthorn, Collingwood. That's why they're at the top. We need to strike more of a balance between having a squeaky clean image and being a competitive football club that's in the mix to win flags. We have drafted talent but development of indigenous player is lacking and needs to be addressed

Ellis is a gun. One of our best players.
Ellis a gun? I think you're getting a little bit carried away. If he's one of our best players then we are in more trouble than I realised.
What is his contract status? I am sort of inclined to think he will hang up the boots at the end of the year if he is out of contract.Have you all forgot that Beau Waters will be back next season? deffinatly would be in best 22
A lot of assumptions need to be made...
Finding a crumber our second concern after finding a midfield IMO.
For the record too, I though LeCras looked very classy around the stoppages on the weekend. I know how good a forward he is but in the interest of strengthening a weakness I would be happy to see him in the midfield more often.
Players I rate:
FB: Schofield, McKenzie, Benell
HB: Hurn, Brown, Sheppard
C: Gaff, Priddis, Rosa
HF: Masten, Kennedy, LeCras
FF: Darling, McGovern, Lycett
Ruck: Naita, Shuey, Selwood
Interchange: Cripps, Yeo, Wellingham, xxxxxx
This depresses me as it's our current line up :/
HELLOOOOO NEWMAN
Give the jailbird a second chance?
I've got a very open mind with Newman. If he trains the house down this summer and claims a spot if be stoked. For some reason though I think Garlett will be playing for West Coast next year.
Loving the look of this team, I'd personally like us to chase Tom Mitchell rather than Rohan. Also Mitch Brown will be in our back line. I hope we pick up Pickett, think he's what we need. Morabito would be a great pick up as well!Little bit of a crystal ball. Are the bolded inclusions realistic? Pickett looks a goer for our first pick, Rohan seems to be out of favour a bit and would do well on the vast expanses of Subi, Mora could be a target if Freo keep him out for much longer. Bit tired of the likes of Masten (sorry champ) and Wellingham getting pushed around so much, likes of Colledge and an (eventually) experienced Sheed could help. Need to focus on having better users in the middle too.
Murray Newman, Scott Lycett, Jarrod Pickett
Mark Le Cras, Josh Kennedy, Jack Darling
Andrew Gaff, Elliot Yeo, Gary Rohan
Shannon Hurn, Jeremy McGovern, Xavier Ellis
Jamie Bennell, Eric Mackenzie, Will Schofield
Nic Naitanui, Scott Selwood, Luke Shuey
INT: Brad Sheppard, Dom Sheed, Brant Colledge
SUB: Anthony Morabito

Not sure Garlett is ever going to get his s**t together. I do have hopes for Newman though and from reports in the off season Newman had impressed Simpsons with his training.
I'm talking about Jeff Garlett. I assume you're talking about Dayle?
No gig for Ellis?
What is his contract status? I am sort of inclined to think he will hang up the boots at the end of the year if he is out of contract.
I think he (Dayle) would create more issues than he would solve, but that's just meYeah i did mean Dayle sorry. If we were to get rid of Hill i would be happy for Jeff if he came to the club cheap, he would solve a few issues down front and he is a lot better than Josh.
Will there be some churn?
