He needs to develop a better attitude in the twos and not sulk about getting dropped. Didn't actually go back to the twos and bash the door down this year. That he couldn't force his way back into the side should be a good learning experience... could be a real weapon for us if he fixes a few aspects of his game, including decision making, disposal choices and contested possessions.

I get the feeling Robbo will play forward as he did at the start of this year and we might look to play Rich through the middle more.

Hoping Bundy and Robbo can add quite a bit to our team next year to offset the loss of Rocky.

Also Walker needs to find consistency.

Sam Mayes, Harris Andrews, Luke Hodge.
Alex Witherden, Daniel McStay, Nick Robertson.

Stefan Martin, Dayne Beams, Dayne Zorko.
Jarrod Berry, Mitch Robinson, Ben Keays.

Charlie Cameron, Eric Hipwood, Lewy Taylor.
Ryan Lester, Josh Walker, Allen Christensen.

Hugh McCluggage, Rhys Matheison, Daniel Rich, Ryan Bastinac.

Unlucky- Darcy Gardner, Jake Barrett. (I can see Darcy battling with Nick for a spot and Jake with Ben and Rhys) If Davies-Uniacke comes in at pick 1 he is ready to go and could force Ben, Rhys or Hugh out. Would also like to see Archie/Oscar starting to put some serious pressure on Stef for the ruck spot.

I really like the look of that side, bring on 2018.

Yep, I was torn between him and Nick Robbo, Nick is one of my favorites so I went with him but Darcy would be great as well.

    AFLX form could be vital:eek:;).

    Hodge, Andrews, Gardiner
    Witherden, McStay, Mayes
    Zorko, Mathieson, Berry
    Christensen, Walker, Taylor
    Cameron, Hipwood, Lester
    Martin, D Beams, Robinson

Rich, McCluggage, Robertson, Bastinac/#1 pick (depending on how Bastinac performs during pre-season).

Stiff: Keays (I think he's first in line should Bastinac or Mathieson underperform or our younger kids need a rest), Barrett (probably the first to get a look in if we get injuries/form drops off in the front half). Robertson to take Hodge's spot in games where we rest him, which opens up a spot on the bench for Cox or our 2017 draftees to get a game.

NRobbo a long way in front of Gardiner for me.
NRobbo has an attacking game. Gardiner needs to develop this.
Allison probably gets in best 22....

great team and almost identical to what I imagine we will play. Would probably have Lester ahead of Gardiner though for his flexibility.

Emerg: Witherden (don't be surprised if the club begins to try and train him up for the midfield and that will need to be done in the Two's), Keays (will be on the outer but think that next year he will really make some strides, just has the attitude), Barrett, Pick 1 (they'll want to get time in of they're up to it)

    B. Gardiner, Andrews, Mayes
    Hb. Witherden, walker, rich
    C. Cox, d beams, cameron
    Hf. Bundy, m robbo, zorko
    F. Taylor, hipwood, barret

Int. Hodge, clugg, n robbo, lester
Emer. Basti, allison, mcstay, cutler, keays

I have hodge on the interchange bench because i dont see his role to hold down a position but to come on, tighten things up when needed. We are starting to get a very capable list with some good depth. What we dont want more than anything is another year with injuries like 2015 n 2016.

Andrews, McStay, DBeams, Zorko, Bundy, Taylor, MRobbo, Hippy and Cameron are probably the only definite locks for me at the moment. And maybe Lester as i think he is very valued by the coaches. Martin probably fits in here too

Mayes, Witherdon, Rich, Hodge, Cutler, NRobbo and Gardiner will all play a lot of games but just not sure on the combination in the back 6.

Berry, McClugg, Matho, Allison, Keays, Cox and Pick 1 will all probably be similar to the top as young mids getting lots of games. Just might vary across the season.

    2018 Team - Age at 31/12/17

    B: Alex Witherden (19, 9) Harris Andrews (21, 58) Darcy Gardiner (21, 62)
    HB: Sam Mayes (23, 95) Dan McStay (22, 60) Luke Hodge (33, 305)

    R: Stefan Martin (31, 136) Dayne Beams (27, 147) Dayne Zorko (28, 122)
    C: Lewis Taylor (22, 85) Mitch Robinson (28, 149) Daniel Rich (27, 165)

    HF: Charlie Cameron (23, 73) Josh Walker (25, 60) Hugh McCluggage (19, 18)
    F: Allen Christensen (26, 98) Eric Hipwood (20, 30) Jake Barrett (22, 18)

    I: Jarrod Berry (19, 16) Ryan Bastinac (26, 159) Rhys Mathieson (20, 24) Ryan Lester (25, 102)

I think there is a couple of good inclusions to the 22, expecting whoever is taken at pick 1 to slot straight into the team. Obviously the side is so young still so not expecting much next season, but it’s starting to come together.
