Defence (7 spots) (all assessments assumed if fit - my current choices in bold)

Definites: Wilkie, Silvagni, Howard, Sinclair
Possibles: Tauru, Caminiti, Stocker, O'Connell, Hastie, Carroll, Travaglia, Clark

Forwards (7 spots)

Definities: King, Marshall, Sharman, Owens, Higgins, Hall
Possibles: Butler, Ryan, Collard, Keeler, Henry

Mids (9 spots includindg #1 ruck)

Definities: TDK, NWM, Macrae, Windhager, Flanders, Phillipou, Wilson
Possibles: Garcia, Boxshall, Wood, Hill

I think LOC and Stocker are competing for the one spot, but another quicker half back should take that Tauru spot. This would have to be a Carroll, Hastie or Trav imo. If none of these lads are up to the Standard, then maybe a NAS/Flanders rotating from the middle could do it.
Nas, Windy and Flanders potentially all rotate back there, so could potentially have the same 23, but 1 tall defender maybe on the bench at any given time

Iteration number 33

LOC Wilkie Tauru
Sincs Silvagni Windy
Hill McRae Wilson
Owens Sharman Hall
Higgins King Ryan
TDK Naz Flanders

Ro Phillapou Butler Garcia stocker

Next in Boxhall Trav

Injured Henry Clark Howard Wood keeler Camaniti

Hastie, Travaglia, LOC or Carroll fighting it out
I'm hoping Trav can lock it down. Doesn't look out of place, just needs to level up slightly.

Caminiti has gone past him...back up now
Exciting times!

Thoughts on Stocker/LOC playing lockdown small?

Also Carroll still impressing at half back?

So what's our back six looking like?

Wilkie Caminiti LOC/Stocker
Sinclair JSOS Travaglia

Tauru, Clark, Howard injury issues
Hastie and Carroll doing enough?

Wouldn't mind seeing Butler reinvent himself down back. Has above average ball skills to make it work.

The issue with the team is we have openings for small defenders and too many mids who should play.

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Windhager spend time in defence.

Tend to agree, pretty sure he's played there before.

Flanders will be in the midfield
Windy even said Flanders may rotate back, wouldn't be locking him into the midfield just yet.
He needs to own the position first.
Flanders could be handy on a hbf & we have possibly 2 positions available., is why Carroll & LOC
keep getting mentioned, but they are unproven.

Based on what i read (so it is all second-hand, Flanders is already an elite at half-back, averaging 30* possessions there at Gold Coast. if so, that puts him miles ahead of all other contenders bar Nas and Sincs for a lock at HBF.

He was brought in to play midfield. That was the sell.

I'm not saying he'll never spend any time down back... but I'd be absolutely shocked if he wasn't played predominantly as a midfielder.
