As the club begins pre season for another year, the South Africans turn a decent cricket match into a boring brick wall affair and Adelaide struggles to deal with losing another forward to the Hawks I get quite bored and create threads which have probably been done to death. Alas, here's the thinking behind the thread. We have all posted our best 22 come round 1 2013 but how do you think our best 22 will look at the business end of the season. Will we have any wild cards forcing out others? will injuries bring in new players who can hold their spot? Will Buddy play rover and Puopolo become our number 1 ruckman?
We can dig this thread up in 10 months time and see how close we were.
My 22:
FB: Gibson | Lake | Stratton
HB: Cheney | Schoenmakers | Birchall
Ce: Smith | Sewell | Suckling
HF: Duryea | Franklin | Rioli
FF: Breust | Roughead | Gunston
Ru: Hale | Mitchell | Lewis
Int: Hallahan | Burgoyne | Hodge
Sub: Whitecross

- If Guerra hasn't lost any pace then he will stay in the side, I really think Cheney will step up however and he does have the tools to step into that role
- Bailey will push for selection but unless he can really improve his work when not playing in the Ruck I cannot see him nudging out Hale. Lowden should crack a game but will need more time to develop
- Duryea was close to getting a gig this year and I think if he can have an uninterupted preseason he could find himself in the side. Halahan also is going to be pushing for selection and I think he could be used to release Sewell and Mitchell throughout the game
- WhiteX could easily start on the field but coming back from a knee injury he may end up as the sub for a number of weeks to get some match time in.
- Savage will come in and out of the side I reckon, if he can find consistency he will cement a spot
- Hill might get a chance but I don't think the kid will be quite ready for full time AFL just yet.
- This was harder than expected.
