Yes , nothing to stop him except injury.
Salim's story is not telling that tale though.

What a stupid post. My opinion that Taberner won't ruck is based on what our club has been doing at training. The majority of rucking drills have been done by Hannath, not Taberner.
Haven't you got anything better than that?
And in another thread you have shown that you do not rate Hannath at all as a forward, which is what they will be spending the majority of their time doing.
Salim's story is not telling that take though.

Really? You should quote that thread. I might not rate Hannath as highly as Griffin or Kepler as a forward, but that doesn't mean I don't rate him at all. Those guys have 6 years experience on him after all. You really seem to have it in for me for some reason. Sorry for having different opinions to you, I guess.
Played 19 games of the regular season and all the finals. Seemed pretty regular to me.Seems like a strange call given that he couldn't hold down a regular spot last year even with all our injuries. Perhaps try posting your best 22 and see how hard it is to fit him in.
I have it in for you? You are the one pulling out the abuse, not me; "What a stupid post"
Yeah, I am the kind of guy that doesn't pass judgements on 19 year olds whose bodies are still maturing, and also tend to find that what the coaching staff reveals by their actions is more reliable than random posters who have limited time actually watching players.
How is Thailand by the way?
I am saying that I don't see significant difference in electing to go for either;
- a specialist forward who can pinch hit in the ruck for a game in which Sandilands will ruck the vast majority.
OR
- a specialist, developing ruck who will spend the majority of the game as a forward, and when playing in the ruck is likely to be competitive rather than dominant.
I am not saying he was injured during his break , just that it could possibly be the reason.
It is felt by many of us though, that he is carrying something now.
There is a good reason Ross is arcing up over negative rumours about Colin.
I hope Sylv kills the pig this year.... and soon.
his articles are doggy doJust reporting a so called Hagdorn scoop
His scoop is normally picking up doggie do do so his credibility is zero

Like I said, Taberner is a specialist forward but whether or not he can pinch hit in the ruck is debateable.
The stupid post in question was a veiled personal attack on me.
Here it is again *******:
Yeah I know that. But either way it is disappointing that a guy whose career is generally regarded as being below what he can achieve given his skill level and abilities it is disappointing if he is not doing every thing possible to turn that around. Not saying that is the case by the way. But there does seem to be a clear indication that his fitness levels were not as expected even before any sense that he may have an injury.

What does where I live have to do with anything by the way? Just shut it.

Playing 22 games incl all finals and kicking 16 goals is hardly not holding down a regular spot
I've got an idea lets get rid of Nick and through Sylvia in.![]()
B: Sylvia Sylvia SylviaI've got an idea, how about posting your best 22? It's very easy to say "oh well you can't possibly leave this guy out" and then ridicule any poster who does, while at the same time not be willing to say yourself who you would leave out of the best 22.

Before you make outlandish statements re a players ability to hold down a best 22 spot it might be a good idea to check out a few facts
His fitness levels were slightly below expectation but I think you are forgetting that he's also been pretty unlucky in that his preseason has been interrupted a number of times. He twinged his hammy very early on in the campaign and didn't run for 2 weeks. That didn't help.

Like the fact that you're a sniper who is too pissweak to post their own 22 because you'd rather reserve the right to just keep criticising those who have?
Oh no. Does Salim have it in for you too?
It is like debating with bushie-lite with the football smarts removed.
