Against all of them he is behind in hitouts, but for most of his career he's shared ruckwork, with Jacobs, Hampson and Warnock.

He is also behind in marks, but not significantly (except McEvoy).

Which is to say, for his age group, Kreuze is just a little off the pace. Which with an ACL under his belt, isn't the worst result.

Having just used a boatload of stats I should mention that statistics are an inherently flawed way to measure a footballers impact or capability, as they are most human phenomenon, they are just better then laying down opinions.

Just a thought bubble, but Kreuzer really needs to actively, physically and aggressively take on Warnock for the no 1 ruck spot. He does that and it's his. The guy has all the hallmatks of a great ruckman except raw testicular fortitude. I would effing love to see him run straight through Roughy in a contest next time we play the hawks. Set a new standard, Matty!

However, what about McInnes for White?

Before Andy Mac did his knee then yes everyday of the week, but he really needs to get some game time and he needs to rebuild his confidence.
I thought White was pretty good yesterday.

We need someone versatile to go with Westhoff as well, so I think White might get that role. Everitt could be switched onto him if he starts towelling White up. We also have Hendo up our sleeve as well.

I was thinking Everitt or Walker would get Westhoff from the start. Not sure White has the athleticism to follow westhoff around the ground.

Not sure why the AFL.com.au article said he looked underdone - he looked more than fine to me. Obviously not BOG, but nothing that stood out as underdone. Impressed he played 4 quarters, even with probably a lot of rest time on bench.

Honestly thought you were talking about Warnock. I don't see how anyone can criticise Kreuzer's intensity. It's similar to saying Yarran needs to work on his speed and awareness.

Yeh in terms of height they are a mismatch, so Everitt might be better in that regard (isn't he 6'4?). But we need to consider Westhoff's ability to play anywhere on the ground. I don't think White is that versatile.

he is a tricky player to match up on, when he floats around the ground isnt he playing as a ruck? suppose kreuzer would pick him up there then switch with a key defender when he is playing in the fwd 50. He is a great talent, nightmare to match up on.
