Probably easier to say who SHOULD NOT be in our best 22
For mine
Parsons
Scooter
Parsons
Guthrie
Parsons
Zuthrie
Parsons
Simpson
Parsons
I hope Harry proves me wrong, but I think the end will come pretty fast for the old warrior

Everybody else should be in the mix and fighting for a position
Wow we are lucky we have the Parson brothers

Different....Stanley CHB it's possible.

He can be?? He is already that....and by seasons end, he will be better.

There's a thing called improvement ...he's well capable of displaying that...and he hasn't played 35 games yet....won a rising star nomination and was only in his second year last season averaging 18 possessions a game....

To limit him at this stage is harsh to say the least. And from simple observation, looks a great prospect..

Looks an absolute lock in best 22 for Geelong in 2019.

Not to mention Parfitt is already ahead of some of the all time greats of the club at the same stage of his career in regards to possession numbers.

If I can just butt in for a moment,Jones or Narkle after the Dogs game and O'Connor post Richmond I reckon. All 4 much of a muchness at this stage of their development, they will all be looking to push on this year.A lot will depend on the areas of the ground that open through injury or lack of form by others.

If you make comparisons by stats Cunico is going about the same as Parfitt.
The others don't compare directly at all.

That's your problem. You spend far too much time looking at stats and not enough time actually watching the game.

What would you know, obviously you don't prefer Cunico but if you care to be fair the kid goes alright.

I know because I witness a large portion of your posts being stat based to rate players.

Firstly, Cunico played his AFL footy on a wing and the other 3 you're comparing have spent the majority of their time forward, so perspective in that regard needs to be considered, not just measuring their possession numbers as a means to rating one over the others.

I'm making the observation on where I believe there're at and what their possible up side may be,you could throw a blanket over 3,Cunico you could argue a touch ahead of that three, but Parfitt has cleared out from that group IMO.

Half the team.
He had two sub par games “numbers-wise” and was dropped both times.

He may have deserved the demotion but others were cut more slack for mine.

Was one of the few who ran and carried the ball.

Not sure his defensive side was up to standard mind you.

Spot on, some of the special ones get game after game but Cunico copped it on the chin and fought hard for selection

Even if he had some bad ones he wasn't on his own and still managed to go 18.5.
You're right about his run and carry, top notch, and has a raking kick on him as well.
I think stats a good place to start any evaluation keeps us off the road of subjectivity.
Cunico reminds me of Duncan and l think he can improve plenty this year.

Was dropped a few times ahead of more deserving players.
Once dropped was to work on defensive efforts which I could see.

Once dropped as we lost and it was a crock IMO as they all played crap but he got the chop.
IMO has all the skills and is a raking long quality kick.

Id be happy to feed him a full season and reap the rewards it brings. Kid can play.

So Stanley and Henderson are basically the same age and one has played pretty close to an AA level but you would pick the one who has never shown anything at the position. And who also has shown he struggles to play good footy anywhere but ruck. STRANGE!
