How do people see Will Powell developing over the next season?
What is his upside?
Is he an instant Jack Martin replacement?"
Nah, Will is committed, happy and getting the best out of himself, not a Martin replacement in the slightest :)

B: Harbrow - Collins - Ballard
HB: Lukosius - Thompson - Hanley
C: Weller - Swallow - Ellis
HF: Ainsworth - Wright - Rankine
FF: Sexton - King - MacPherson

R: Witts - Fiorini - Brodie

Int: Bowes - Greenwood - Powell - Anderson

My team with Greenwood and Ellis included, if you wanted to run 3 talls, you can take Darcy out for Day, but that is how I would line up come round 1.

Rowell is probably more ready than Anderson.

Powell, Miller, Holman, Hanley all playing for the last 2 spots for me

Forwards
- King, Rankine, Ainsworth, Sexton, Greenwood, Wright (I'm giving him first crack)

Mids
- Witts, Swallow, Brodie, Fiorini, Bowes, Macpherson, Rowell, Ellis

Defenders
- Thompson, Collins, Lukosius, Ballard, Weller, Harbrow

Powell for team balance be good
Miller a solid citizen to give his all
Hanley think will be much better in a better team
Holman does so much good when plays

We'll have some good players in the reserves this year!

B: Harbrow, Thompson, Collins
HB: Ballard, Hanley, Hombsch
C: Greenwood, Bowes, Swallow
FOl: Ellis, Witts, Fiorini
HF: Macpherson, King, Ainsworth
F: Sexton, Day, Rankine
I/C: Powell, Lukosius, Weller, Miller

Pretty good list in my opinion, this is all depending on a lot of these guys growing over the pre season. I chucked Collin's in cause he's shown a lot of early good signs and I think he'd compliment Thompson well as well as a bit added strength. Hanley and Harbrow are back for the fast rebound and leadership. Rest are pretty self explanatory.
The midfield is hard at first but with Greenwood and Ellis it'd probably give Bowes and Fiorini a bit more strength and confidence. The great thing about having such a weak midfield last year is now so many players are experienced in the midfield that Macpherson will roll up and same with Ainsworth and still maintain good standards, same with Weller. Ellis falls onto the half back line sometimes.
Forwards are self explanatory. King can take the important fifty marks that used to be wright's job, macpherson and Ainsworth streaming past. Sam Day has the experience and maturity to hold his own and take big marks while sexton and rankine have the x factor and could snap all over the field.
Interchange has powell to come on for some midfield speed, lukosius into half back, weller onto the wing and miller has become somewhat a utility.
Rowell and Anderson haven't shown what they got so I cant put them down just yet although im sure rowell could almost take powell's spot. Miles is hard to leave out and woud be my first man in if there was an injury. As there's usually plenty of injuries, I'm sure all my second tier players will get a run.

This is the biggest monkey on our backs.
Need to get this right.

I mean Ben King played 14 or so games this year so games isn't really a factor, especially thinking of Rischa who played in the neafl half the year. Games is pretty irrelevant when you're determining what a player has to offer

I'm talking about injuries
these guys were all injured.
we need to stay injury free

Not a bad effort - recognising Ballard was a tough omission. I'd have him in I reckon.
Add Rowell +- Anderson
Decent team.
GC Suns building!
Drop Miles for Rowell, Hombsch for Ballard, probably drop MacPherson for Brodie too. There is gonna be real competition for spots which is great

Fiorini surely in the best team.

I like the make-up of teams that have only 2 of Thompson, Hombsch, Collins (probably thompson+collins) and then Ballard as the 3rd tall.
Playing all 4 leaves us pretty tall at the back, probably unnecessarily so - and takes away a midfielder / runner.
Ultimately ends up either Hombsch or Miller/Powell/Rowell.

I could understand it if Hombsch played a bit more like a Birchall or Maynard that brings a bit of drive but all 4 of them are pretty defensive.

Our KPD butcher the ball, Luko should be licking his lips for handball recieves
