I'd like to see McGrath spend time down back, we have a very versatile backline but aside from Hind I think it lacks a bit of leg speed. We're going to need to find midfield minutes for Shiel/Caldwell & I think McGrath has the ability to help the team in other ways.

- Was impressed with Cutlers end to the season so he has earned a spot on the bench

I think there should only be room for 2 of Tippa, Smith and Snelling. Snelling doesn't kick enough goals and only averages one more tackle a game than Smith, Smith kicks more goals and has more goal assists.

I'd also love to see Reid take one of the key back positions but he's probably still another year away, maybe second half of next season at best.

Reid needs to find his feet in VFL first. Coming off significant injury and he's barely played in the last 2.5 years come feb/march

He will get games as the year goes on if he stays fit

Prefer Snelling and Francis over Dev Smith.

Dev Smith or Durham as starting sub in our best fully fit side

The amount of blue collar work that Snelling does at half forward and through the midfield for the team has him entrenched in the best 22. Smith was hit and miss this year again, giving away silly frees and burning teammates in better positions on occasions. If he can focus on the team first stuff and adjust his attitude he can get a game as a small forward still, but his spot in the 22 isnt as secure as Snellings. Reid id like to see get games too, maybe 12ish if possible. He'll need Stewart and Laverde next to him for protection. If we bring Kelly in though im guessing Truck sees the back 7 as

Depth is starting to look very promising.

Would love another tall forward and tall defender.

I know this is tongue in cheek post but it seems odd to not want fringe players discussed in a best 22 thread as I would have thought outside of positional changes who is vying for the last few spots in the team is the main discussion point.
