Would be gutted for Perryman if he misses out. He is improving with a bullet. Would expect him to be in the top 10 of the B&F this year at least.
Perryman will be in our best 22 when fit without doubt. No way he misses.. He is a really strong contributer. Hard at it, reads it well and a good user by hand and foot. Very solid player.

My 22 at the moment:
Williams Davis Haynes
Whitfield Taylor Shaw
Kelly Ward Coniglio
Greene Cameron Finlayson
Daniels HH Williams
Jacobs Taranto Hopper
Perryman Caldwell DeBoer Corr

Probably forgotten someone.

My current best 22.
I rate Langdon but concede he might have to give way to a recognised mid.
Back 6 as good as anyone's.
No surprises for Ruck and RR.
Love the idea of Daniels and Hill crumbing off Harry.
Half forward line a thing of envy for 17 opposition teams.

Personally, I think Langdon will have more speed and manouevrability - I think we need a bit more of that. The good thing is that we have lots of quality options!
I think there is at least 1 too many small forwards in that side. (Possibly 2 if they plan to permanently run an extra mid through the forward line)

I'd probably agree, we'll run extra mids off the HFF - but Langdon is one who might be perceived to be able to both jobs pretty well. Pretty hard trying to fit everyone in who either deserves a place, or you want in because they can benefit the side with some skill. An enviable position really IMHO.

Plenty of options. I really like Caldwell and hope he gets a run. And like all teams there will injuries so a few others will get a chance a long the way

Daniels also got put around stoppages towards the later rounds of last year.

But I really only see us going with 2 of Langdon, Daniels and Hill.
Possibly only 1. If we plan on running a mid through the forward line

Admittedly I did was overseas when he debuted last year but surely Langdon has more runs on the board compared to Bobby Hill at this stage of their careers?
Hill has far more upside. Depends on how much he has developed over the off season.

I can see a few opportunities early on in the season opening up with Ward missing the first month and it will be there for who has worked hard over the pre season
At this stage I would have

Shaw Davis Taylor
Williams Corr Haynes
Whitfield Coniglio Kelly
Greene Cameron MDB
TOJ HH Daniels
Sauce TT Hopper

Perryman Reid Kennedy Caldwell Lloyd Hately Langdon Hill Shipley

The last spot could be any of the last 6

News that Williams was unavailable due to having his load managed makes me hope he is ok for the start of the season and then also I saw that Sheridan has a calf issue again makes me think he will have another repeat of 2019, hope not

Personally I want to play two small forwards who specialise in that role. Im not a big fan of resting mids up front. For example I would only like cogs up front if greene is on ball or off the field. I think over the last few years in successful teams (tigers or west coast come to mind) they generally play specialist smalls in these positions. Yes they have midfielders run through, but these are players (like dusty) who could be outright forwards in their own rights if they werent so good on the ball.

Pick two! I want the specialists

So...
Williams Davis Haynes
Whitfield Taylor Shaw
Kelly Taranto Perryman
Greene Cameron Coniglio
Daniels Himmelberg Hill
Sauce DeBoer Hopper
Ward Reid Corr Caldwell/Hately

No Finlayson
No. I’ve always thought he needs to improve his tank. He’s a wonderful talent. Plus, I think to beat Richmond or most good teams we would be better with an extra small. Now that Cameron and HH are more mature they know how to make more contests and bring the ball to ground at the very least. We need those ground level players to support that.
