Depending on the draft, JUH would be looking at Taylor/Ford’s spots, dependent on preseason form and injuries of course. Mahoney in is a non-negotiable and Anderson is needed for that pressure and as that extra midfield rotation. Phillips is going to keep building his tank in the VFL I imagine.

Actually a pretty nice squad of 30 prior to any players coming in.

I have excluded Dumont, Atley and Polec who i assume will not be at NM next year.

I'd say that is pretty close although Bonar for me slots in front of Perez and if we recruit a mature 2nd fwd/ruck option Comben either goes to the pine or in the 2s to develop. I do like Taylor also, he might get first crack ahead of Ford.

I'm bullish on Flynn Perez but he'd probably get a run in the VFL before coming straight in. Bailey Scott and Charlie Lazzaro I also have high hopes for, just couldn't find room for them. Not sure what to do with Jed.

Who does he replace? His hardness around the ball is valuable but we have more skilled players who can offer the same thing. His kicking has always been a problem and it's a problem a lot of those younger guys don't seem to have.

Valuable in a developing midfield, particularly his hard nosed approach. He would be the one that gets pushed out of the midfield if they keep developing at a rapid rate of knots. If he is playing 2s, we are a very good side.

You're not regenerating the list if you're playing Atley, and crying if an honest, but limited player such as Dumont and a 32yo exercise free-agency. Everyone likes Taz, but if he wants to go - then go. Players who are not elite and have no improvement in them are expendable. Not saying trash them all (Goldstein, Ziebell, Cunnington) but if you don't want to be around then you're better off elsewhere. If we suck in '22 then so be it - we hit another draft and keep building.
