Rackemann and Bollinger werent great....

Remember Paul 'Blocker' Wilson? He always bowled no balls cos his back foot went really wide, hitting the return crease. Terrible action.

does any one remember the west indies player patrick patterson he came out here for a few tours 1989/90 and 92/93 tours he had a very smooth action at the crease and generated great pace with little ease.

patrick patterson was lightning fast. arguably the fastest of the west indies. but he was just too erratic and too many greats in front of him - marshall, walsh, bishop, ambrose to demand a regular spot.

Loved MacGill's bowling action. Theres no awkwardness about it at all unlike alot of other spinners.

I always thought that watching McGill was like wathcing Ricky Jervais in The Office -painful but you just cant look away. He looks constipated when he bowls, and has those little t-rex arms.

Harmisons action was frustrating to watch. Patinsons action is good to watch.

I very much like Siddle's action out of the current Aussie quicks.

First time I saw Mitchell Johnson's run-up and action I was like 'wtf is that???'

But it grew on me and I ended up liking his weird lumbering jog up to the crease and his slingy action. Don't always care for the results, could cheerfully take out a contract on him on occasion, but like watching him in terms of his action.

Steve Smith in generally is awkward to watch. Batting, bowling, standing around. Not sure he's all there.

a classic!

One of the more obscure ones I remember is Ian O'Brien back when the Kiwis toured here in 08 or 09. Terrible bowling action but from all accounts a terrific guy.

Also disliked Andy Caddick and Kasper's (very similar). Morne Morkel's is a bit strange as well.

McGrath is just about the best and most fluid I've seen, live or on TV. Holding is up there too.

Of the contemporaries, Steyn and Pattinson are easy to watch. Some might disagree, but Jimmy Anderson isn't bad either.

Caddick's was aweful...put Kaspa's and his next to each other and I think you'll find Kaspa looks like a Rolls Royce.

Ian OBrien (I think) I heard got really sick with depression and he had to retire. Shame about that - he was a good cricketer. Think hes ok now.

Mitchell Johnson's action looks like hes made of meccano. So mechanical.

Ian O'Briens back seized up. Told by the medical staff to call it a day. I think you're right about the depression too

He's on the radio now, and hes very good

for a bad action, there were just some days when it all just clicked and he bowled pretty quick with heaps of bounce & cut, and other days when he was just above medium pace
