Lol, im getting an idea for another thread "Best and Worst Games"...

That one would probably be my all time fav... 3 "comebacks" in one game. Too bad I missed the best goals of the match (Ronnie Burns). The 95 one against Essendon would be up there too. Classic Ablett in the last quarter. And of course the 94 finals series, minus the last one.

Worst - I remember a few games at Arctic Park V Fitzroy which we lost in the early nineties. Cold and wet and all games we were "supposed" to win. Arctic park was never very good for us. In 20 years, I can only remember about 10 games where we actually played well.
More often than not, I remember heading back to the bermuda triangle carpark scratching my head as to why we lost. Or won but didnt play well. Gaz for one only played 3 or 4 good games there.

Haha... Arctic Park.. Home of evil sideways rain!! At least you went by car. My mum insisted at the time we go by public transport, which meant train, another train and then a bus!! But I have relatively good memories of that place, since I hardly ever went there ;)

Anyway, worst games for me would be those two games where we played North and Freo, in absolutely freezing conditions and torential rain. The North one was especially bad and we got flogged. Can't recall the exact years, but you know which games I mean!

Well I do recall being at the 95 Grand Final. But all I can remember is the pre-match (crapola) entertainment and the mele at half time. Put it down to selective memory. ;)

But please enlighten me. :)

I was only little then, but didn't he kick 3 or 4 goals?

Best - Gary Ablett, Garry Hocking, Peter Riccardi, Paul Couch, Mark Bairstow, Ben Graham, Steven King, John Barnes

Worst - Mark Blake, Trent West, Gerred Bennet, Cameron Roberts, David Ugrinic, Leigh Brokman, Joel McKay (what a waste of a top 10 pick)

Other honourable worst mentions - Matthew Spencer, Sam Hunt, Jason Mooney

Yes. I was sitting bottom of the Hickey Stand during both those games.
The Kangas game (2001) was the only game I have ever been to where by half time, I didnt care if we won or lost, I just wanted to go home and have a hot shower. And going by train meant that shower wasnt going to happen till about 7:30pm. From memory, we lost by 24 points but only kicked 4 for the game.
I was wringing wet b4 the game started. For some reason, you couldnt tell our blokes that if the ball goes over the back, it would skid on. Most of norths goals came that way. I recall Ronnie having the chance to kick 3 or 4 in the last quarter and missed them all.

Tim Hargreaves! :D

That brings back some memories!

The only thing he ever did was win a free kick against Essendon at the G on a Saturday night. From memory it was on the Olympic stand flank with Essendon within a kick and charging home deep into the last quarter.
He shouldn't of been awarded the free for high tackle as he was holding the ball b4 the tackle was laid.

Never did anything b4 then and never did anything since.

That's really harsh, I've though West has looked pretty good.
