To my limited knowledge, it would be between Bon Scott or Michael Hutchence but couldn't pick one decisively. Who do you prefer or perhaps there is someone else. Maybe someone like Peter Garrett, Jimmy Barnes, Billy Thorpe, Stevie Wright or someone else you know of would be the best. I'd be interested to see what you reckon.

1. Peter Garrett
2. Bon Scott
3. Grant McLennan/Michael Hutchence
4. Billy Thorpe
5. Chris Bailey/David McComb

Bon and Michael were the most charasmatic and overall the best frontmen in Aussie rock history.

Our frontwomen crown would comfortably go to Chrissy I would think.

Barnsey, go check out 'Last Stand' and thank me later.

Honourable mention to Michael Hutchence.

Bon Scott and Nick Cave were (although I think Nick still goes very well).
Nowadays Tim Rogers and Gareth Liddiard are the benchmarks.

I'd say Tim Rogers is getting severely under rated here. But really, Scott and Hutchence are a mile ahead of most.

Chris Cheney, Garret, Phil from Grinspoon even = all very good frontmen.

Oh, and Jay from Frenzal Rhomb deserves a mention.

that fact he is a one-eyed north supporter doesn't help.
