I can appreciate people rating Madden ahead of Hird (and Watson, Daniher, Lloyd etc for that matter), but by a mile?

Hird then Reynolds... obviously most are saying reynolds on all his accolades as many would not have seen anything of him.

Choosing Rioli at two is a strange one. His class and skills were great however his problems with degenerative knees weren't helped by his weight problems and this is what cut a decent career short... very Whitnall.

I think they used the same pre-season press-releases: "XXXXXX is in career best form this pre-season." Then by round 6 or 7, as tubby as ever.

Although it's a bit off topic. Is there any truth to the rumour that Whitnall's mum was a pig-farmer? Raises certain questions.

Longy, unfortunately not enough of Madden`s career was caught on film, particularly his early years, you are right, by a mile is probably stretching things, but he`s clearly the best I`ve seen. One thing that annoys me about Watson is the way he constantly plays his career down, if you listened to him you would be convinced he was a hack.
