Who do you think should be awarded the "clubman" award in Season 2005?

With all the players going down like nine pins this year, the players who have stood up through thick and thin and busted a gut this season are:

Simon Prestigiacomo - outstanding season under adverse circumstances
Nick Maxwell - improved markedly in season 2005 and even showed glimpses of form in the forward line
Rhys Shaw - come of age and proved doubters wrong and played consistent footy pre injury) despite personal issues (sister in car accident)
David Fanning - a boy thrown in to do a mans job and despite getting physically punished every time he runs out onto the park, continues to present. Fantastic job for a rookie in impossible circumstances.
Nathan Buckley - always the clubman, hasnt missed a beat despite missing 3/4 of the season through injury
James Clement - natural leader and probable Copeland Medallist

Personally I'd give it to Fanning for work effort above and beyond his ability at this stage of his career.

Toss up between Racer and 86, I think.
Jimmy C will be Copeland Trophy, so no need for him to get best clubman.
One will get Best Clubman, one will get Most Improved (do we give that?)

Don't write Licca off yet mate. Clement should win the Copeland Trophy, but Licca is still a big chance.

Rhyce Shaw wins it by default.

Nobody could have shown more balls than he did when he tore his ACL, but got up and went to the next contest on one leg, vying for the ball. If you missed it, watch the replay, it's one of the ballsiest things I've ever seen done on the football field.

Also, lets not forget how hard he worked to improve this year. In pre-season training he was running so hard he threw up, and was 100% focused on his training at all times.

For mine, no one has embodied everything Collingwood is supposed to be about in the last 5 years as much as Rhyce Shaw did this year. Let's not forget it is the Darren Millane Trophy, and who has embodied that ballsy, hard memory more than Rhyce Shaw?
