None of the Tiges defenders would make the Blues starting 22. I guess that's the take home message. :)
Only 2 Carlton players would make it into the Tigers starting 22. I guess that's the take home message.:)

Hey all you Carlton supporters 22 players make a team and who's winning the brightest future thread...yes thats right we are Richmond. Sucked in Parrot!

Melbourne.

Garland, Warnock, Frawley, Martin, Rivers (absolute gun, needs to get out on the park) as KPP backs.

Petterd, Chris Johnson, Grimes, Buckley as HBF's.

The Tiges were playing 5, 30 year old and olders in their starting 22 for most of 2008- one of the oldest starting 22's in the AFL. Remember the Tiges V Lions game - only 5 of your 17 goals were kicked by players under the age of 30!. So much for a "bright future". lol. :)
Yet those 5, 30 year olds are better than the whole Carlton starting 22.:)

They were all embarrassing in your "Happy Birthday" game. Remember? I enjoyed some of Bowden's "it's not my fault" half-defensive efforts in the last 1/4 of that game. :)
I'd rather watch us beat the Grand Finalists(Hawthorn) again, how much did you beat them by in Round 22?

But that was your 100th Birthday game. It was being promoted at Tigerland for about 2 years. lol. And you were thumped by a much younger side. :)
Well the whole year was celebrating our 100th birthday.

How much did that much younger side thump the Grand Finalists by in Round 22 though, Richmond managed to beat them by 29 points just 2 weeks before, surely you won?:)

But that specific game was being promoted by Richmond as the 100 year celebration of yellow and bleakness. All the Tiger faithful turned out, and were treated to an embarrassing last 1/4 capitulation. It's etched in your history now. Forever. :)
Once again though, that fabulously young team that THUMPED us in 1/4 in Round 14(But also lost to us in Round 1), did they beat the Grand Finalists in Round 22?

Because Richmond beat them in Round 20(With a younger side than Hawthorn).:)

Are you celebrating a late-season meaningless game for the Hawks? Sounds a little desperate. Sam Mitchell said they just wanted to make sure the Tiges finished 9th. A symbolic finish in your 100th year you'd agree. lol. :)
A late-season meaningless game for the Hawks? So why couldn't Carlton beat them? In fact I believe you lost by 78 points in that meaningless game for the Hawks.:)

Big Future indeed!

Yep. Afraid so. If they won or lost it didn't mean much. Meant everything to the Tiges, because up to that point they hadn't beaten a top-8 side for the whole year. :)
So if it didn't matter if they won or lost then why did they decide to THUMP Carlton by 78 points in the last game, a game in which Carlton were trying to get their only goalkicker for the season over 30 goals to a milestone, but just like true Carlton team does they tanked it and their $2mil forward was left begging.:)

U guys have to be joking: Newman Thursfield McGuane McMAhon Shulz Moore is the defence that kept fevola to 6 goals in 2 games and franklin to 4 goals in 2 games thats 10 in 4 games any other side woulda had fev or franklin kick 7 against em in 1 game so cmon guys cut us some slack

Emerging? Isn't Newman about 27 years old? The Tiges would have to have one of the oldest starting 22's in the AFL. :)
Hes 26.

FB: Newman Thursfield McGuane
HB: Moore Rance Tambling

Average age of 22.

Yeahh.....stone age

And in actual fact, the 22 that ran out in round 22 had an average age of 23.1, so get your facts straight. With 5 players being over 29, thats not old at all.

Pfft. Garland on Franklin in round 9=

Franklin r*ped.

Kyle Cheney Stefan Martin Matthew Warnock

Colin Garland Jared Rivers(Not emerging but is part of the backline) Ricky Petterd/Clint Bartram

Very good mix of talls and smalls because Garland and Rivers can play on both, with Stef Martin being 198 cm and Warnock 192
