It’s all pretty spot on. Nowadays though, you can use RetroArch and most of those emulators have RetroArch cores, so that’s the cleanest way to do it if you are going for multiple systems.

Tried RetroArch but I could not figure out the Controlls and how to use them. I kept with Standalone Emulators and Medeafan

Yeah, RetroArch can be a nightmare to get to grips with, but once you have it all running it is quite good.

Project 64 is still my preferred, N64 is my favourite system and project 64 is probably the first time i ever emulated something. Although there is still a few 64 Roms that never run across emulators

The list mainly references console gaming, so i was surprised DOSbox doesn't get a mention for PC gaming. I'd argue that an OS is different to a gaming system, but modern consoles like the Wii are more of an OS now. Plus DOSbox is an emulator not a hypervisor which is the difference

Has anybody used the GBA4IOS Iphone emulator at all?
When i try install it, it says "untrusted enterprise developer", it asks me to go and trust a certificate through Settings > for a Wuxi Suntech Power Co. Ltd company, who are a solar panel company in China? Not going to trust it as im not really sure it's safe, plus i have no idea what "trusting" that will actually open my phone up to. Anyone got any ideas?

(only wanting to install pokemon blue on my phone to keep me occupied while at work)

Use it at your own risk (much like anything illegal like emulators), but it seems to be a legit certificate. Looks like PUBG uses something similar.

Had N64 emulators, brilliant to relive Golden Eye.

Any half decent 3DS emulators to run Pokemon Sun these days?

Just buy the parts and build it yourself, there are a number of pre-configured images you can download that you just dump on an MicroSD card and start playing immediately.

It's not hard to do, and there are complete images out there that include all the ROMs so you just literally put an image on a MicroSD card, and away you go. There MAY be some minor stuff to do like configure controllers but that's all pretty simple and well documented. Wolfanoz is a reasonable place to start, read up on it and give it a shot if you're comfortable with it.

I don't want to be the fun police but just a heads up. After communicating with the chieftain today, discussion of emulation and roms here is fine. However to avoid any potential litigation against BigFooty can we please just refrain from using any links or anything. :thumbsu:

    Emupardise has Died
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    EmuParadise is Changing
Many of you are aware that the situation with regards to emulation sites has been changing recently. What you probably don't know is that we at EmuParadise have been dealing with similar issues for all 18 years of our existence.

From receiving threatening letters in the early days to our hosts suddenly shutting down our servers due to complaints, we've seen it all. We've always complied with takedown requests but as you can see, that is no guarantee of anything.

I started EmuParadise 18 years ago because I never got to play many of these amazing retro games while growing up in India and I wanted other people to be able to experience them. Over the years, many folks have joined in and contributed to this vision and I think I can say that we've been successful in spreading our passion for retro games far and wide.

Through the years I've worked tirelessly with the rest of the EmuParadise team to ensure that everyone could get their fix of retro gaming. We've received thousands of emails from people telling us how happy they've been to rediscover and even share their childhood with the next generations in their families. We've had emails from soldiers at war saying that the only way they got through their days was to be lost in the retrogames that they played from when they were children. We've got emails from brothers who have lost their siblings to cancer and were able to find solace in playing the games they once did as children. There are countless stories like these.

It's been a long and beautiful journey with many ups and downs. When I started EmuParadise things could have gone either way. But right now the direction they are going in could not be more than clear.

So where does that leave us?

It's not worth it for us to risk potentially disastrous consequences. I cannot in good conscience risk the futures of our team members who have contributed to the site through the years. We run EmuParadise for the love of retro games and for you to be able to revisit those good times. Unfortunately, it's not possible right now to do so in a way that makes everyone happy and keeps us out of trouble.

This is an extremely emotional decision for me after running this site for so many years. But I believe it is the right thing for us at this point of time.

Thus, we have decided to make a new start. We will continue to be passionate retro gamers and will keep doing cool stuff around retro games. But you won't be able to get your games from here for now. Where we go with this is up to us and up to you.

We'll still have our emulators database, the community, and everything that comes along with that.

We have already made several plans of what is going to happen next. It's going to be a fun new beginning and there's going to be lots to come! We'd also love to hear from you in the comments about what you think we should do. But for now, we need to make this change. We've served the community for 18 glorious years and it's been a hell of a ride!

But every end is a new beginning and we're excited to find a way forward to continue being your #1 emulation destination.

Thank you for supporting us through this journey. We could not have done so much without you visiting us, telling your friends about us, uploading screenshots and descriptions, telling us when something was wrong, letting us know when we messed up, and more. Thank you for being a part of our community and encouraging us through all these years.

So you say we can talk about Emulators and Roms but we can't post Links or Any Names of Sites Then?

As I posted a Article in Above a Site

    That’s fine.

Obviously there are some gray (as in legal) issues surrounding this subject so I had a chat to chief to see where we stood as I didn’t want to be a buzzkill. He’s OK with it but if we could just avoid links that would be great.

I understand that other link was just to an article but instead of picking and choosing what is and isn’t allowed maybe we could just refrain from all links to anything rom/emulator related. If you want to state in this thread what to go search for in Google themselves then that’s fine.

So you can say anything about Roms and Emulation and how to get them and use Emulators as Long as No Links are Given then?

I've only been told no links so anything else should be OK. I guess just use a bit of common sense when talking about other things.
