We are now about a third of the way through most of the European Legaues and most of the teams are starting to establish themselves. Who do you think, this season, is the best team?

I'd have to say Juventus. They just don't have any weaknesses. I'm not basing this on Champions Legaue form either, because, as Barcelona showed last year, a team's form in the CL may not necessarily reflect their true status.

Real Madrid would be close behind, and Arsenal, undefeated in one of the toughest leagues have done nothing wrong. But I'd say Juventus at this stage, despite their loss yesterday to Inter. Nedved, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Davids, Appiah, are all contributing to probably the most consistent team in the world. Real may have more genuine class, but I'd back Juventus against them if they were to meet.

Special mention to Stuttgart too. I havn't seen them play, but they have only conceded three goal in 14 games.

My top 6 would be:

Juventus
Real Madrid
Stuttgart
Milan
Arsenal
Valencia

AC Milan. The best designated striker in the world plays for them - Andriy Shevchenko - the two best defenders in Maldini and Nesta. Currently sitting third in Serie A (albiet poised to take first or second, depending on the result in the Roma/Lecce match). Are still undefeated in Serie A and have only lost once in the Champion's League.

AS Roma belong in the Champion's League, pity they had a stinker last season.

First of all I believe it's known as a group and secondly I'm pretty sure they've lost. Up until the game at Inter they were copping the usual **** for their performances in Europe.

The English LEAGUE was what I was referring to. I wasn't necessarily referring to their CL form.

Whether Shevchenko is the best in the World is a matter of opinion, but they don't seem to score as many goals as the other top clubs. In Serie A, they have the equal lowest goal total of the top 5 clubs and in Europe they always seem to win 1-0. Not saying that's bad or anything, after all the result is everything, and they can play free flowing football, but I just think Juventus have a better balance.

As good as Milan are, they havn't got a player as creative as Nedved.

IMHO for a team to be even considered the best European club they need to have a good European record, something which Arsenal have never really had.

Maldini, whilst an awesome player over his long career, is not the man he was.

Arsenal may have plenty of deficiencies, but the best striker in the world mantle is potentially passing from Raul to Henry.... - think Shevchenko is up there, along with RvN, but not in that company...

Best team? Out of Juve and Real, the kings of the two strongest leagues, until someone changes the status quo.

It is undisputed that Real Madrid has the best team on paper. World class players left, right and center. But, as a team, I’d have to say that Juventus is currently Europe’s top team. Treseguet (sp.) and Nedved are exciting to watch.

If Real gelled as well together as Juventus did, you'd find that I'd have a different opinion on Europe's best team.

Real Madrid's biggest problem is their depth and defence. They have a philosphy of having the big stars but in this case it has hurt the depth of the team. Madrid is involved with three competitions, and of all the top teams in Europe I would say Real Madrid has the weakest bench. If you want a specific example of this look at the recent Sevilla game. Down 4-0 at half time. That just wouldn't happen with AC Milan or Juventus. Two starters from the defense were out and Madrid was made to look average by a mediocre opponent. Even Osasuna, by all reports outplayed them, in the 1-1 draw a few days ago.

Real will be doing well to win their own league, let alone the Champions League.

Have the most well rounded team.

World Class keeper: Buffon

Solid defence based around Thuram

Best player in the world imo: Pavel Nedved

Great Striker in Trezeguet

Even the other players are very good Davids Appaih Camoranesi Legrottaglie
