What's the best event you have been at?

It can be a concert, sporting event...anything...what is your favorite?

Mine is the Australia vs Iran WCQ at the MCG in November '97. I was in the Ponsford Stand, and although we lost, the sense of occasion makes it a favorite of mine.

Also, what is your fantasy event? What event if you were given one chance to attend would you go to?

For me it has to be a Pearl Jam concert. One of my dreams is to see these 5 musical legends live, and when they come to Australia next, I will be first in line...just one thing I have to do.

Best events include 91 Grand Final and Offshore 2000, that was a fantastic couple of days.

My fantasy event will take place late November when I finally see Australia qualify for the world cup. Seeing Nirvana play would have been good too!

Champions League Final - Liverpool v Man Utd. Liverpool 6-0 winners!!!

Best event Ive been to was the Marco Antonio Barrera - Naseem Hamed fight earler this year in vegas. Truly an unbelievable experience and the atmosphere was second to none.

Went to the end of last years Milan-Barcelona champions league game - 3-3, Rivaldo scored a hatrick, Albertini slotted an awesome goal from nearly halfway.

The best event I reckon would be to be at a huge heavyweight title fight, a fight that would go down in history, ie Ali-Frazier, Ali-Foreman etc. If Lewis didnt get iced, a Lewis-Tyson fight would be huge these days.

Hmmm best event would have to be the 89 GF. The other one that goes close is seeing the Foo Fighters live at the Hi-Fi Bar, unbelieveable night.

My dream event would be to go to the San Siro in Italy and see Inter Milan Vs AC Milan, the Milan Derby.

Hey I was at that Foo Fighters gig at the HiFi bar!!!! They were UNBELIEVABLE that night! Absolutely rocked - the only other gigs I've been to that compare to that night were AC/DC, Pennywise and Living End at Offshore and No Fun at All at the Corner.

But that night was great, even if it was about 50 degrees in there - the best bit was Dave Grohl on drums with the Chilli Peppers drummer while Taylor sang!

Anyway, have to go, I'm off to the HiFi Bar tonight to see Area 7!

Yep, sensational! Dave Grohl has said that it's the best concert they have ever done! I've seen them 4 times and that concert is by far the best i've seen. I agree about AC/DC, i have seen them 3 times now and even the latest concert they did was awesome, you'd reckon they'd be getting to old for it! The Living End were the support band that night for AC/DC and they were fantastic too.

The Big Day Out. I got to see Nirvana. Well, maybe not 'see'. I was a d@mn short 13 year old!

Definately have to say that Metallica was the best live show I have seen. They've got a great stage presence.

Best sports event I have attended would be either Australia vs Iran '97, the '99 NRL Grand Final when the Storm won, and either of the Bledisloe Cup games at the MCG.
As for concerts, well I was at the Eminem/D12 show last night and it was damn good, topped any other concerts i've been to...
My fantasy event would be Man United vs Liverpool at Old Trafford, maybe on the last sunday of the season with the title on the line.

Best footy events I've been to would have to be the '85 & '86 SANFL Grand Finals.

Best other event - seeing Matt Johnson (The The) playing live in London. I missed him the last time he toured Oz (1989) and have waited in vain for him to return - so it was kind of special to actually see the man in the flesh.

I saw England beat Scotland at Wembley Stadium during Euro 96 & it was massive-although I got a bit too p1ssed to fully appreciate it.
Iwould love to have seen the Doors in concert (or the Rolling Stones in the early 70') & I would like to have been at the 'Thriller in Manilla' Ali/Frasier fight.Also it would have been good to see Botham smashing the Aussie bowlers around at Headingly in 1981.
