allright, I've taken the advice and cut the list to:

John Worsfold
Peter Matera
Guy McKenna
Glen Jakovich
Ben Cousins
Dean Kemp

but I added Chris Mainwaring and Ashley McIntosh because they are more than in the class of the above six.

So who is the best Eagles player?? For Mine I just can't go past Peter Matera, but it was close v Glen Jakovich.

In Order of those 8:

1. Peter Matera
2. Glen Jakovich
3. John Worsfold
4. Guy McKenna
5. Ashley McIntosh
6. Ben Cousins
7. Chris Mainwaring
8. Dean Kemp

thats just too hard to put it in order, because the difference between Woosha and Kemp is minimal to nothing and could be put into any order, although I think Jakovich is a slight way in front of the rest, and then Pete is another small step just in front of Jako.

Well at least we know how the MCC got such a high percentage in that disgraceful poll - they just edited the answers.

Kemp just ahead of Matera.

All Kemps games were at the same level, class.

Matera was brilliant but had trouble regulating his temper.

For all the 40 games Ross Glendenning played, he would be equal to (or maybe better) than Jacko's level. Cut above the rest, back and forward and he had a Brownlow to prove it. He could have played longer but retired when he was on top of his form.

I think Jakovich, McKenna, Kemp and Matera are in a little group of their own. They are the best of the best and very hard to split. Matera was brilliance personified. Jakovich was all heart, McKenna was courageous and never made the wrong decision and Kemp was just all class.

Those four IMO form their own little group. Then their is the second group led by Worsfold and includes McIntosh, Mainwaring, Lewis and Cousins. Cuz will probably join the top 4 by the time he is done though.
