A few days on the main board, I posted (copied below) what I thought would be our best ever team since the existance of the Crows.

What are other posters thoughts?

interesting exercise....I'll give it some thought but that looks like a pretty good side.

Klug could have been our best CHF, but alas he didn't play enough games to qualify for me.

Rocket was one of my favourites. VERY under-rated player. I loved watching him play!

A very good side and I would only look at the one change. I would have selected Mathew Clarke as the back up ruckman over David Pittman.

i dont think anyone will agree that mark bickley is our best captain regardless if he is our only premiership captain.. mark ricciuto by a long long way. captain of australia twice and truly the best leader weve ever had

you could probably go down to the malle league and still see him play. I think he played until his late 40's ?

Great team!!
Only when you analyse who didnt get selected do you get debate.
Clarke, Lee, and Jamo would all be great replacements.

It reminds me of a recent crabbing expedition....I got that many blue swimmers that I found myself throwing some huge ones back because I had so many good ones.

I'm sorry, but I still think Robran is over rated.

I cant think of anyone left out in Kane's team, maybe Liptak or A Jarman. Bit surprised that Scotty Welsh would get a game ahead of Liptak in his prime. And i agree with whoever said Clarke should be back up ruckman - maybe Pitto could slot in across the Half Back line, but who would miss out? Best coach is obviously out of Blighty or Neil Craig...

I think he only played in the Crows first season but David Marshall was brillant on the wing with silky skills on either side of his body and could hit targets as well as, if not better than, McLeod. Probably didn't play enough games because he was in the twilight of his career when the Crows formed in 1991 but a great player none the less.

And one of the last great moustaches in the AFL. He gets around without it though these days.

Its a pity some of the other players returned to Adelaide, or played afl, in the twighlight of their careers. Imagine adding Carey, T.Hall, B.Lindner, B.Lindsay to name a few

Sean Wellman turned out a decent CHB for the bombers as well.

Been some good players through the Crows doors over their short history.
