T'was good banter until the sooky Vic overlords and their media dogs had a cry resulting in Ken getting fined.

Most are now questioning why Fly isn't copping the same treatment.

Of coarse we know the answer to that.
Bit rough.

I was on Ken (and Ginnis) side, our Jack had a mostly innocent dig and Ken had the last laugh: lels all round until Sicily who tossed his toys.

"That mean man ruined our blokes sendoff by making me melt" fmd. Hes calming down, only 34% flog now.

I’ve got the match worn jumper from the game after he shaved them off. Adelaide 2011. Kraks Mark Of The Year jumper too. Getting shitfaced and going on the club auction website can be costly but the club is trying to take all my money when I die anyway so I’m getting in early

Sell it now. Won’t ever get any more valuable.

fly ignites something in the modern fan.

i think he's an outstanding coach, may finish as one of the best ever, perhaps.

but he's got such a pin head that sits on top of his thin little bitch ass neck, with a mouth that's always got this shitty, weasley little smirk on it and everything he says seems insincere and to be frank i just wanna ****in' slap the little peanut.
Kept thinking back to that night on Ten's footy coverage and read it in Malcolm Blight's voice.

The AFL fining Ken/Port $20k for pretending to be a plane was incredibly ridiculous (particularly given the next Port v Hawks match was marketed heavily).

But the way to rectify that ridiculousness is to just not continue to respond in a ridiculous way - even if it's inconsistent with a previous decision.

Problem with that is it creates a feeling of double standards.
It always seems like the AFL make an example of the Interstate club before watering it down when similar comes from a Vic club.

Look at the Izak Rankine suspension, 6 weeks for a homophobic slur under the AFL's ramping up sanctions mantra, then reduce Collards from 9 for a 2nd offence.

Or it swings the other way, tighten the rules after the Vic player transgresses, crucify the Interstate clubs player.
Maynards career ending bump on Brayshaw,, nothing to see, plays in a Premiership, then Houston bumps Rankine, gets 6 weeks, misses an entire finals series.

Poor comparison, it was taken to a Tribunal and successfully argued that there were mitigating circumstances, and the AFL then subsequently tightened the rules to ensure future mitigating circumstances weren't applicable.

Interesting in Agenda Setter Caro and Riewoldt said they wouldn’t repeat what was said like it was actually insulting or something.
"I've heard you aren't defined by winning Premierships"

Lol, what mitigatining circumstances?

He left the ground, hit him in the head and concussed him, thats weeks.

The only mitigation is a backroom deal followed by some formal pomp and ceremony to appear to legitimately arrive at a pre-agreed decision.

The AFL should have paid Ken back that $20k for using that vision in their own promo material.

I like Grundy. A few years back he was interviewed live by SEN while on a Saturday morning walk with his dog. He told Andy Maher off because of the quality of the inane questions he was asked. He's not into the industry. Very good player too.

Andy Maher questions are like Merv Hughes off the long run circa late 1980’s. Way too long and no one knew where the ball was going to go.

Or possibly they were just making a mountain out of a molehill for views and realized they would look ridiculous if anyone found out what was said and it turned out to be an absolutely nothing comment.

Collingwood players cracked the sads about all the money Pendles was going to make, and the club subsequently had to beg and plead with the AFL to let them all wear gold numbers so they can also sell them.

Look for an extra game at Marvel next year, or, God forbid, an extra game interstate!

Yes... that's what happened...

Apparently Peter wasn’t happy about the extra attention to Pendlebury instead of Nick Daicos so they all got to wear gold numbers.

This was a better theory

Yeah this sounds more likely. The issue should have been left at the fact a coach spoke to an oppo player during the game. And even then it wasn’t an issue as the AFL didn’t seem to care.
