In fact John Elliot is rumoured to have accused him of being gay, in the presence of others at the Carlton B&F, when he was on the verge of leaving Carlton for St Kilda. Why he did that remains a mystery. I don’t care what he or anyone says, going to St Kilda was not to his benefit.
He is now into his 50’s. Never married. No kids.
Definitely gay.

I heard this rumour about 20 years ago about a 4 time premiership player who played at 4 different clubs from the mid 90s to mid noughties , who was famous for his off field behavioural issues.

According to my then source, this particular player was given the chop from from his first club because he put the hard word on the then coaches PA at an end of year function . When she refused he then punched her and was delisted soon after when the club hierarchy found out about it.

There May have been a similar situation with a Gold Coast player and his now ex fiance. With the heat too much from fellow teammates and their partners, he looked for a new opportunity elsewhere with a year to go on his contract.

My hazy recollection is that Pikey head-butted - or tried to head-butt - a woman at Crown Casino. It was captured on security footage. The reason he didn't hit her with a fist was that he had a beer in each hand (I'm not trying to be funny here).

Yup that’s certainly more on the money.

To be fair ( and not condoning what he was alleged to have done ( and certianly couldn’t handle his grog) ) he was on his way out before the blow up. And he was never charged

Did learn to pull his head in ( slightly )

I doubt it to be honest unless he's bi I know for a fact he was pretty sore about a break up with a girl in his younger days and couldn't let go... we've all been there I guess.
