Carlton, but only by the depth of a bottomless pit......

Exactly, on paper means nothingOn paper Hawthorn, in performance Geelong (the latter is what you should base your judgments on) by the length of the bass strait, and there is a significant difference between those 2 "P's". i.e Judd hasn't even played a game in navy blue yet, so how can it be the best formation, looks good, but does it function good?
How noone is saying Geelong is utterly rediculous, considering Mooney took 160 odd marks and kicked 60 goals, was AA, and was comfortably the best contested forward in the game. Then there's the Brownlow medallist and the games most in form, dynamic and damaging midfielder.
Please people get your acts together.

Well the Blues have Judd, who is not only the best midfielder in the AFL, but the best player in the AFL. Plus they have Fev, who is the best FF in the AFL by a long way. So on that basis, the Blues #1 easily. Brown and Franklin are awesome forwards, and so Brisbane and Hawks would be in the second group. Adcock is a middle tier player, and Blacks best days are in the past, so probably Hawks next. The Cats have some great midfielders in Bartell and Ablett, but Mooney, while having a lot of heart, is no where near the quality of Fev, Brown and Franklin, so they slip past Brisbane - just. Both the Freagle teams are solid bottom. Pav is good, but their other midfielders are one-paced has-beens. The Weagles have Kerr, who is good, but the other 2 are solid ordinary. So...
#1 Blues
#2 Large gap
#3 Hawks
#4 Brisbane
#5 Geelong
#6 Very large gap
#7 The Freagles. Freo > Weagles

Brown is the best FF in the AFL easily. Franklin, Lloyd, Lucas, Pavlich and B Johnson are all better than Fev just to name a few.
