So ppl, what was the game of the year for the Western Bulldogs?

The best game in my opinion is the Round 21 game! Second best is the Kangaroos game.

Great topic Hahn!

I think it comes down to four.

1 point win against Saints- 31 points down at 3 qtr time- down and out…. Grant kicking away the yips ...Our season was on the line.....

4 point win against North – Playing with a forward line of “short people” came back from 42 points down... and the game where Crofty came into his own... Our season was on the line...

3 point win against Carlton- With men like Chris Grant, Luke Darcy, Kingsley Hunter and Craig Ellis all out, 5 players with less than 20 games of experience between them... Garlick to kick 6 on Rice/ Hickmont/ Mckay/ Franchina... and being against the “tragic” boys on their home turf, and seeing them complain about the umps, made it all the sweeter.. Our season was on the line .....

11 point win against Essendon- to be the only team to beat a unit of this calibre made it soooo speeeeeeeeecial, with Grant’s unforgettable goal from the boundary line with a minute to go.... Who the hell says this bloke has the yips???..... and our season was on the line...

How many times I said to myself "my god, that was the best game I've ever been to"....... then the next heart stopper would roll up. I really couldn't split the Carlton/Essendon games, obviously for the different circumstances for each…. And the saints /roos games where also fantastic.

Hi Westy Boy
I think you may have neglected to mention to the doggie supporters that if they go into another teams room, they have to play nice. You know what Bluey warned us, no stirring in other teams sites. The doggies that have dropped into our site haven't offended me, cause it was only 1 game, but I would hate to see it boil over into a feud like happens on the general board, anyway it was fun partying on the weekend, we'll have to do it again this weekend. Have you guys updated you facilities, you can play host.

Hey Hahn

Well a good topuc the best games of the season would have to be but not in a particular order.

1.The Essendon game to break their winning streak would have to rate as one of our best games if not the game of the year.

2.The North game to come back from behind ad to win a fantastic effort by our guys.

3.The Carlton game to break their winning streak and to beat the tragic blues a fine effort by the boys a great game a emotional win.

4.The St Kilda game to be 31 points down and to come back and win a fantastic effort.

Other games worth mentioning the adelaide game at colonial when danny ran on to the field with the boys very emotional, the carlton game at colonial and the melbourne game at colonial to come back from behind and have a win.

Agree with all of the above, plus the Sydney game was a good one too. I have kept all of those games on tape, which I've never been inspired to do before this year.

Re visiting other teams' rooms, it was a fairly gentle and humorous dig compared with many remarks I've read made by others on these boards and I hope Essendon fans are big enough to acknowledge that the better team won on that day.

Best result for doggies fans no doubt. But standard was made ordinary by the tactics employed by Wallace. Was shocking to watch. Love to see him try and flood on the G".

Best game of the year was Essendon/Carlton in Rd 20. Highest standard of football played all year against the two best sides. Just a pity for the blues they lost Kouta....still wouldn't have beaten us though!

Robbo

A little bit of grace wouldn't go astray. Give credit to Wallace for having the nerve to use the tactics that he did and credit to the Doggies players for executing it properly.

Watching the game, I could only admire the discipline shown by the Bulldogs....I can tell you, the North players would not have been able to execute Wallace's game plan.

This is a reaaly good topic so here I go with my games of the year.
1. carlton at optus for so many reasons. It was at a ground and against a team that Ive hated from the cradle, it was footy as I remember it being played(some of the end-to-end stuff we see today would have passed for footy training once), it was decided by a dodgy free kick to the very player the carlton fans around me had spent the day bagging.
2. North-for most of the reasons above PLUS the king missing from the square(hmmmm would Grant have missed that-I dont think so)
3. Essendon-how could you not think so? Wallaces career best coaching performance
4. Carlton at Colonial(remember Elliot is a w***ker?)
But really each and every win is the game of the season
