Well not at the moment because he's injured but probably Kirkland, he has the potential anyway. There's no standout at the present but I reckon Cudicini & Friedal were the best 2 last season.

Guey,

I would agree with you re; Sorensen but being a Villa fan I was dissapointed with his efforts on the weekend.

He made a couple of costly errors. The worst being that free kick from Tarnat he allowed to sail over his head.

Don't forget Carlo Cudicini and Brad Friedel
And Jerzy Dudek.

The best three in the league for mine.

I tell you what though, if you want him to stop any shots then it's probably a good idea to have him in front of the goal & not behind it.

Niemi was fantastic last season and is back to full fitness but Paul Jones has kept 4 consecutive clean sheets. The only two goals he conceded were in the first 10 minutes of the first game so the old man deserves a bit of credit.

They may not be the best keepers at this point in time but you'd be pretty happy if you signed Paul Robinson or Chris Kirkland at this stage of their careers.

Gotta be Peter Enckelman - Birmingham City POTY 02/03 Hope to see him back in the starting line up for the Vile in the next Brum derby.

:D :D :D

Seriously though, Cudicini IMO.

Birmingham City Football Club

100 years and won stuff all!!!!

I don't even know the name of your goalkeeper. I do know that catching the ball is his kryptonite.

Enckleman is a class goalkeeper no pun intended. (edit - what does that even mean?)

You watch when he gets another chance in the Villa side he'll prove his obvious superiority. (and didn't he do that - he's dominating at the moment. I'm not sure whether I was joking or being serious about that. Reading the next line; presumably joking.)

It was his first derby game at St.Andrews and he probably just wanted to get up and leave. (I've ammened this sentence and it makes as much sense as it did before)

St Andrews is falling down, falling down (tune of Berlin wall)
The Brum are a joke and when Villa get another crack at them this year they will put them back in their place and that is the Nationwide League Division 1.

edit - interesting. This comment could be right for the second time. Both delayed but nonetheless accurate.

1. Cudicini is the man...Go Chelsea!!

2. Lehmann...stepped into Seaman's boots...good keeper, even if his team are a bunch of pussys who got the flogging they deserved against Inter Milan

3. Friedel...nothing to say...just good at keeping the leather out of the net
