Yes, Hafey won three straight flags with Shepp in the 60s, and there have been other great coaches throughout the 100+ year history of the GV. However, most people on here would be too young to remember all the great ones earlier eras.

Going back a long way...Kevin Kenna (United) in the fifties. In the seventies and eighties, Des Campbell(father of Brad) two flags at United and two flags at Tonny
 
Kevin kenna coached s shepparton united to 5 consecutive grand finals from 1952=1956 including a draw in 53 winning the treble in 54-55-56. He also coached the first GVFL team to win a victorian country championship in 1956. Not a bad record by anyones stsndard
