Best KPD 23 or under?

Marcus Adams is as good as any key defender in the AFL this year imo. Absolute star

Been good in his first season but absolutely not in the conversation with the likes of Rance, Talia, Tarrant, Frawley, Grundy etc.

How many times has he been beaten convincingly? Or beaten? Happy to be proven wrong but when I've seen him he has been a star

Buddy beat him late in particular when Sydney were surging and kicked a few in a row. He had a terrible game vs North Melbourne too, might have been Waite. Other than that, nope.

Unfortunately been in and out like some of our other players with injuries. His long kicking out of defense could also become a great tool.

Kaiden Brand.

Currently holds the record of any active player to reach 10 marks in a game in the least amount of games. Took 10 in his 5th game vs. Port.

If he played for Sydney he would be getting raved about, but because he plays for Hawthorn and their defense often gets overlooked and the only media the club seems to get is from that stupid hashtag free kickhawthorn rubbish, he goes unnoticed.

When you factor in experience and use it for a handicap, you'll realise that he's one of 2 KPD's in the 3x reigning premiers and current premiership favourites, he's obviously doing something right and the coaches and recruiting staff rate him highly. The Hawthorn recruiting staff have a knack for finding gems from untapped locations.

Kaiden Brand has played 8 games and is yet to have an opponent get 10 scoring shots against him unlike Tom McDonald had within his first 8 games.

Thanks Mrs Brand

Would probably say Weitering, but he's not exactly suited to take the opposition's best forward each week, more of a Gibson-esque third tall. Adams is definitely up there too. But I reckon Aliir brings something different to the role of KPD. He's got the height (and the build now, finally!), but his main strength along with his cool and calm disposal is his sudden burst of pace that he has. In the NEAFL game before his debut, he played one of the better games I've ever seen from a KPD at that level (not much, admittedly). He played on at every opportunity, and burst through with ease. Very dangerous player.

Jeez it's hard being a Hawthorn supporter.

You're annoyed that an 8 game player isn't getting recognition yet?

You've got to be kidding. 3rd tall and coming off the interchange bench now; whatever Brand is in the future he's nowhere near a KPD yet. He's proved he can take uncontested marks when Port wildly bombs it into their F50 (along with every other Hawk defender that day), little else.

3rd tall? Holy s**t, how dumb are you?

He's 198cm with a 205cm wingspan and plays on the opposition's tallest KPF.

Gibson is, and has been the last couple of years, the 3rd tall defender. Have you seriously never heard of Josh Gibson?

Jeez Kaiden, chill out mate.

Give it a few more games, people will notice you. Chin up, champ! :thumbsu::thumbsu:

By the way, great game last week vs Carlton. 11 disposals, 1 mark! No wonder you're in the conversation of best young KPD! What numbers!

He is currently being selected as I/C with Frawley and Gibson on the field as the starting KPDs. He is the third tall defender used by the Hawks. What does his size have to do with how he is used? Has Clarko found a way for him to cover a KPF while sitting on the bench? Why isn't he starting if he's all that and a bag of chips?

Get a grip.

Is that the best insult you can do? Pretty sad you can't just admit you don't know anything about football.

"Good kick number 35!"
Sorry, who's number 35? I don't know your players.

Once again showing that you know nothing about football.

Players don't often start in the position they are put in, in the teams list. If they were, there would be 5 on the HF line, 4 on the HB line and 6 on the center line.

This isn't the 80's where players who start on the interchange stay there for a majority of the game. If he starts there, he'll be on within the first 5 mins. Only one, maybe two, player won't spend some time on the bench. But hey, I wouldn't let how the modern game is played get in the way of your poorly veiled trolling or complete stupidity.

Carry on, fool.
