Ok, well I thought we could try and make this a daily thing, not just for horse racing but any sport in general. At the moment, maybe looking to lay Fravashi.

This is an interesting thread. Often you will have a gut instinct that the fave will be a lemon. People should make a brief comment why it won't win in their opinion.

Yeh, I'm still fairly new to laying bets, opened this thread more for others opinions, but if I find something I might have a crack at I'll say why and all that from now on.

One for the Saturday. Belong to Many, brother has a very very samll share in it. 1200m is her limit, steps to 1300m and has 58.5, normally has the edge taken off her second up as well.

Only problem with laying her is she just gives everything, but my brother is fairly certain it will be beyond her.

I think Light Fantastic would be a good lay. Has not improved since his 3yo days and will probably be giving the leaders a start after the leaders get a softish run up front. His last sectionals havent been that great either.

Heh, so much disagreement and fail in this thread! :p

As for my 2c Doc, I saw the fixed odds market for Banana Man and he was $3 against a field of hacks.

Sheeesh, i thought, he was $2.90 in the Mornington Cup and this is a worse race.

Thought he must have been lumped with 68kgs to be $3.

Looked up the fields and he has 61.

No doubt i'm biased as he's my favourite horse, but i wouldn't risk taking him on with the form he's in.

Richmond Race 7 #1 HELENA STAR

Should be second favourite in a two dog race. I am hoping the punters will stay away from the $1.20 odds for #5 IRREPLACEABLE and back-in something else from 9s to 5s (Helena Star).

Has drawn the inside box, but hasn't been racing at city tracks. Been running excellent times, but is no 29.80 Angle Park 515m dog which IRREPLACEBLE is.

First go at anything over 500m and has been dominate in victories.

We have good things going for us with this lay.

Small field. Two dog race. Inside box. Has plenty of wins of the board. 10/11 placings (Inc 5 wins). Hasn't run over 500m. Hasn't raced against city.

Lets hope we can get $3.50-$5.00

Anything more and your doing that well.
