Providing everything goes to plan, it looks right. JDG could throw a spanner in the works if he's available
I had degoey as my sub. i dont think de goey will have the effectiveness to play full 4 quarters at high intensity this year.

Tim membrey simply has to play, his marking ability, goal kicking and effort in contests makes us such a difficult side to defend.

FUARK we’re good

Looks like De Goey, Mitchell and Long will be fighting it out for that final 2 spots if everyone is healthy. What a great problem to have!
If all are fit, then I think it is Perryman that misses out.

Josh is probably in our top 3 for the Copeland right now, his move to HB was the most deliberate tactic that the coaching staff put in place over the entire preseason, and he is doing a great job back there - possibly in AA conversation. And you want to move him to a wing after having not played there all year? The position that the coaching staff moved him away from last year?

Calm down
I was trying to fit the names in.
Not like Crisp will play all game on bench.
We tend to.play 7 defenders 7 fowards 1 ruck 3 wingers 4 mids and a sub with everyone rotating through different positions.
And with roles. Whether they sacrifice one position and go the extra ruck (Cox) or KPD (Frampton) is a matter of tactics and opposition on the day

Big ? is Frampton.
Geelong Brisbane Freo Hawks Suns = Doesn't play
GWS Adelaide Dogs= Plays
How so? Frampton will be important for the teams you mentioned he doesn't play against:
  • Geelong = Neale
  • Brisbane = Morris
  • Freo = Treacey, Amiss or Jackson
  • Hawks = Chol (towelled him up already)
  • Suns = King

I'm very calm. What about my post makes it seem like I was hysterical? I was interested in your reasoning on the positional switch. Did you not expect any questions on the team that you put forward? Feel free to put in your post (or after it) that questions are not welcome.

Reckon Houston isn't getting enough of it.
But j daicos can stay in his role. Maybe Perry man could push up.
Way I see best 23
Defence
KPD also intercept Howe Moore (lockdown frampton reserved for oppoent specific)
Lock down small defence (IQ Perryman Maynard)
HB drivers J Daicos Houston (secondary)
Mids
Wings/rotate outside Sidebottom Lipinski Crisp
Inside Long Allen Pendles
Outside N Daicos
Ruck Cameron
Foward
KPF Mcstay (back up ruck)
Small pressure foward Schultz
Smalls Hill Elliot
Medium talls Miochek Membrey
Hybrid wildcard match winner De Goey
Sub WHE

Now maybe Cox comes in foe ruck help
Could bring in Frampton against a side like crows.
Or an extra small mid foward like a markov Steel or Sullivan. Or extra grunt in McCreery
In which case you have to omit someone.
DeGoey (if not fully fit) Allen Schultz potentially Membrey would be the spots under threat. Imo. Everyone else locks

This is my crack at the best possible lineup

This is pretty close to most peoples team give or take one player.
What is most exciting is that 3 injuries to a non key position player and we barley feel it. 1. De Goey starts, 2 Mitchell comes in, 3. WHE comes in.
Nearly every premiership team has had 1-5 outs. 2-3 being the most common.
Very reassuring.
I suppose its picking the random player that gets in if we are a few injuries deep, like is it Cox if one of Cameron, Mihocek or McStay is injured. Sullivan for a pressure forward, Allan if its midfield based injuries, Marcov again if we are out 2 defenders.
