Cool, I’m all in the 4th M for the NormyIt's like the 3 muscateers, I'm the secret 4th one. I'm a 1962 child also
One of the unlucky onesumm you're missing McCreery
Josh is probably in our top 3 for the Copeland right now, his move to HB was the most deliberate tactic that the coaching staff put in place over the entire preseason, and he is doing a great job back there - possibly in AA conversation. And you want to move him to a wing after having not played there all year? The position that the coaching staff moved him away from last year?
I think we do. Reliable set shot and has been so good for us down the line.Do we need membrey ?
If we have mcstay miho Jamie bobby beau shooter ?
Plus JDG ( 7 forwards there )
I think id rather have Mitchell or Perryman in 23
So 8 forwards if JDG available ?I think we do. Reliable set shot and has been so good for us down the line.
Essentially forces any loose defender to be accountable.
Those emergencies show why we can really win itBecoming an increasingly hard side to pick - I'm going with the idea if we're all fit (barring the obvious long termers) and the grand final was this week how would I like us to line up:
J. Howe, B. Frampton, B. Maynard
J. Daicos, D. Moore, D. Houston
D. Cameron, N. Daicos, N. Long
P. Lipinski, S. Pendlebury, J. Crisp
B. McCreery, B. Mihocek, J. Elliott
B. Hill, D. Mcstay, L. Schultz
S. Sidebottom, T. Membrey, H. Perryman, I. Quaynor
Sub: J. De Goey
Emg: T. Mitchell, M. Cox, E. Allen, W. Hoskin-Elliott
Always an interesting discussion. Would the players that weren't on the ground in the game want a medal? I'm all for some kind of recognition though. Nobes crying in 2023 was heartbreakingHi All,
There is an issue which I think (from my aging memory..lol) is still yet to be resolved by the AFL.
It relates to who is eligible to receive the premiership medallion. Of course, the current 23 do, but as we can see by our potential emergencies (refer post by #Johno9911), these listed players have contributed to our success and hopefully next premiership.
I think there should be a club led proposal which recognises the 23 plus the named emergencies for the medal after the game and medals are awarded to all players who have played a seniors game during this year. These additional receipents are recognised at the club B&F night.
If we want to be an inclusive club, a seperate club award (ring) for the entire list should also be considered.
Just a thought...

It is an interesting question and Nobes was very distraught amongst others who missed out.Always an interesting discussion. Would the players that weren't on the ground in the game want a medal? I'm all for some kind of recognition though. Nobes crying in 2023 was heartbreaking

I think I’m fine with the current system as heart rending as it can be for those who don’t play on GF day.Agree. The current system is needlessly cruel, especially for players like Ron McKeown and JFN.
I don't know the right answer, but some recognition for contribution would be accepted by all. If a player has taken part in 10 games or more, for example, they should be recorded as premiership players.

The players all know the system and I’m not sure that they’d be keen on a medal having not played in the GF.
I’ve never been to a post GF event when the team takes the cup home to it’s fans but I think this would be a great time to honour all who contributed throughout the season.
