I distinctly recall fans on this board stating that the Hawks QF this year was the greatest win and/or game they've witnessed. It seems the ensuing demolition of the Cats and Hawks in the two following weeks erased the gloss from the win. For me, it was an absolute classic. Had everything going for it, brutality, composure, a relentless spirit. The first exciting, truly fulfilling clutch win that our younger brigade has registered, with hopefully many more to come. It is games like those that turn generic clubs into true teams, that turn boys into men.

That was an amazing smother. The Pies were storming toward goal and Corey came out with the ball so cleanly. A big play when you consider the final score and what was hinging on that game.
