Do people still do this? I cannot remember anything about Tramp except for sitting and staring at the ceiling once, but what's the better out of Tramp and Survivor? In fact, I've heard Survivor has finished up completely?
Yeh kind of, the lease ran out at the building where Survivor was and they've moved to the Rats venue funnily enough! Called Power Station now. I prefer(ed) Survivor but its apples and oranges really.

Ghey name. I think "Rats" is officially dead too, the event itself has gone downhill so much. It's just resorted to being $5 entry every week and gets a heap of bogans through the door for a whole lot of pretty pedestrian mainstream music. Doesn't have the indie vibe that it had even twelve months ago

Bit of help. Heading into the city for a birthday dinner. Probably about 8 couples or so in the group. Anyone know anywhere To go after where there's a bit of music (house, rnb) and can have few drinks? This is for Saturday night. Thanks

Might as well go to Cloud...Section 8 was pretty good when I went there last on Tattersalls Lane which is just a few lanes down from Wah Wah, had many drunken nights stumbling from Section 8 up to Wah.

Vibe and music is pretty good at Section 8, house music and tech/deep house were most of what was played when i've been there which is Saturday nights. Not exactly cheap but its pretty standard pricing for Melbourne.

Precinct sucks ass, music is shit. Go to Boney or Revolver or something. You'll have a ball.
Precinct is the only place I've been to where the amount of females is a lot higher then males, the place is doing something right when that happens. I didn't really like the joint as it isn't my scene but if you're ready to mingle thats a place I would hit up.

Boney is great when you're MD'ed to the high heavens. I can't really remember entirely but it seemed to attract people 21, 22-plus which caught us a bit off guard. A cool venue though and I don't know why I don't go there more often. I guess paying $10 and the only beer they have is that tinny shit Carlton Draught is disappointing though...

I've never even been to Revs despite living in Melbs for 18 months and essentially going out every week. What's it like? Comparable to? Are the chicks those horrible Whip/Wahs type or something a bit trendier (I'm talking Cant Say/Boney/Lib Soci/old Rats)?

Went to some shisha joint in Coburg a couple of weeks back. Was pretty good. Good shisha, good mates, good drinks. Very layed back as well. The owner had a cat there that was lying on one of the couches

Shisha places are great and underrated. They have them in my area (northcote / thornbury) as well.

When I lived in London my friend and i stopped at a middle eastern kebab place on the way home because we'd heard on the grapevine that it sold alcohol.

So they were selling beers under the counter which was a bit ridiculous really because out the back they had DJs and a garden packed full of people. It was hilarious.

So much better than regular tobacco
BRB better taste
BRB not smelling like shit after having it
BRB getting to use a cool hookah (not hooker hehe)

However I can sometimes can be a bit of a health nut and the day after I went there, I went to the gym and ran 5km on the treadmill to try and limit the damage to my lungs (srs)

It does more damage to your sugar levels than to your lungs ;)

More the latter, but you get skimpier Tramp and Wah types popping in.

Friday's are proper shit. Thursday's are pretty big though.
What actually is there on a Friday? Cant Say where you pay $10 to have a boogie and then spend the rest of the night on the couch, just talking louder versions of the shit you'd be talking on a couch at home.

Thursdays are good fun. I went to Utopia at the Lib Soci last night for the first time. A bit empty in comparison to usual apparently, but it was fairly good fun. The most hipster rat crowd you'll ever see but whatever, better than chicks in leopard print and blokes in singlets.

But there's still heaps of places to go out from really Thursday onward. Even Sunday I managed to have fun last weekend. I guess bars are the way when there's no clubs happenin
