Saw a producer called Lone the other night at Boney, ripper evening.

Can't remember if Ding Dong Lounge had been mentioned either, but that's another solid venue you guys should check out if you haven't already.
Saw Lone as well, but in Perth. I was right into his early EPs and his album was great, he brought it live and the fact that whole tour was free was a bonus too.

Big fan of Ding Dong as well even if plenty of people aren't. The bar staff are either right on or total arsehats though, but aside from that, it's capable of some good gigs and all sorts of nights.

Made my debut at a joint in Toorak last week. The place is called 'Trak Live Lounge' bar and their Thursday Night event is called 'Ritz'. I enjoyed it and would go again later, but $20 entry was a bit annoying.

Have the biggest love/hate relationship with Rats. Which is better than the hate-hate relationship I have with basically every other club
I have been there a handful of times over the last 6 months. Getting a bit sick of it and would rather give other ones a go but mates seem to like Rats. $5 entry, not strict on dress, $5 drinks. All pretty good. All the girls there seem to be from the Western suburbs though which is a bit of downer considering I'm from the east.
Last time I was there the police were swarming the bathroom because apparantely someone was snorting something. Occasionally there's a fight but nothing too bad. Generally people are nice enough.

I've been going to Rats for the last two years, probably three times a month on average, and its clientele and ambitions have changed a lot. Even at the start of this year, all they played in the main room was trap (can't listen to Shabba without thinking of that cesspit). It was basically a slightly milder Cant Say but is now probably the most generic place around. That was even worse for most of this year; all winter they shared the Colonial with Powerstation but now they've got the second floor and smokers back, it's not so bad.

It's still probably my favourite place to go because you can escape on a $35 night if you pre-drink smartly, and it was always an easy walk to and fro, and the girls are always pretty easy (if you don't pull you've had a shocker), so I like it more than I should even though the odd fight has started to break out (no doubt thanks to the ludicrous and no doubt unsafe amount of people crammed in). Plus some nights I've gone there and been staggered at the amount of uglies, but every time you take someone from interstate there, they'll always leave thinking it was a good place.

Plus there's the Port Adelaide stairs.

Only been twice I think since they re-opened the top level. Not a big fan of the outside part but that's probably because I always go in a light t-shirt and thus get cold every time I'm out there.

Do they allow singlets in there? In the hot summer nights it would be nice to have the option but don't wanna risk not getting in. Especially now that it seems more packed than ever like you said. Last time I went the line went all the way back to the Lonsdale St entry. Was by myself in line so got the girl next to me to say I was with her so I was guaranteed to be let in.

One of the things I like most about it is that I've never seen anyone there that I know (apart from mates I go with obviously). Other clubs like Levels have so many promoters and stuff on my FB.

P.S Working at a nightclub would be the worst

brb Night shift
brb drunk kents
brb loud music that will have your ears ringing for days
brb cleaning up vomit and other unidentified bodily fluids
