Wahs is appalling. Dudes with like 35 centimetre long fringes glued with hairgel to their ear, horrible chicks who dig them... I don't really like the place at all. But I don't think Eurotrash has had anything for a good seven or eight months – at least since Dumplings was canned? They were relying on some dual-entry with Wahs for a bit there... last legs indeed...

I used to end up at Yah Yahs every Friday or Saturday after gigs two years ago. I miss that joint...

huh? yah yahs is still alive... cant confirm eurotrash myself, but a family friend who manages the bottom end was saying that it'll be fully running 'during 2015' a couple of months back.

Yah Yahs is still going but I'm never around the Fitzroy enclave past 10pm anymore. People were saying it was sold off and they were about to turn it into flats on top and a bonafide restaurant below but that'll never end up happening. I used to hate the Northern Soul and jazz they played at 2am... terrible taste but the odd R&S Records/Strokes song was enough to have a good time.

Didn't Survivor become Powerstation and then move to Brown Alley? I don't even think Powerstation still goes on... Didn't the clientele change massively with that name change too?

well when the palace shut they moved anyway to the bottom end, in turn shoving survivor out, moving it somewhere (cant remember where, was it brown alley?) briefly ,before renaming it power station and putting in new guernica on saturdays. which is where it now.

i actually liked anyway at the palace ... i dont care ...

fitzroy's a wank, but the saturday night vibes in winter walking around brunny/smith/gertrude/johnstone if youre a 20 year old are pretty awesome.

Hidden Forest on Queensberry St, Carlton any good?
Been dead lately, Friday isn't a huge night in Melbourne. Its basically Cloud Nine on a Friday, they do have some decent DJs and they run Minimal/Techno recoveries and sometimes hardstyle sets as well which is always good. The crowd is pretty shit though, worse than Cloud i'd say from my experience. If you like Bounce music its your best bet on a Friday. Tits is more house until late then gets into harder stuff, notoriously hard to get into. And Rova from the few times I've been is Minimal/Techno.

Okay thanks, I asked a guy who's been there a couple of times and he said there were a fair few people on drugs, so that's probably what you're talking about when saying the crowd there is worse than Cloud Nine.

Also know a girl who goes there every Friday Night and she's friends with that same guy I asked about it earlier, and I think we're going to go there one night soon, hopefully.

By all means I've had plenty of great nights at Hidden and drugs isn't an issue for me, crowd is just a little bogan/ratty for my liking.

well i work a lot of saturdays so don't see too much of the weekend city (thankfully). guerns thursdays is kinda my staple mainly for cheapness, since they closed first floor especially. im yet to discover anywhere full-priced that's actually worth paying for. if u scout anything that is cheap, itll tend to attract a crowd. steer clear of any of the more mainstream joints, i went to wah on a fakey for my 17th and never been back since.

im a big wrap for boney, if i was in the cbd on a weekend it would be there or ding dong. myaeon is my fav, but a little way out of the city. eurotrash goes up on a tuesday n often those kinds of things r the best nights. then there's perse/yah yahs/laundry/etc. which r fun because u can just gallivant around brunny and johnstone streets and soak in the vibes.
Biggest example of cheap prices drawing in a crowd was how the vibe of Rats went from a decent music/great crowd place, to a bogan-filled hellhole that clearly only gets numbers because of the $5 entry. And that commercial "party" music.. Ugh

Never been to Boney but I've heard great things. Not living in Melbourne it's a little harder to sample different places because when I do come up for the night I want to go somewhere that I know is quality. Funnily enough that rarely happens and most nights are laughably poor but that says more about the CBD nightlife than anything.

At least Can't Say hasn't been gentrified yet.

Is this legitimate?
I've tried getting out the pipe before but bouncers kick you out as soon as they see it. It's hard to pack it full of smashy quick enough. Back in Adelaide places like Red Square & HQ would turn a blind eye. It's actually good for a night out and I only do ice on the weekends

You get the meth pipe out and bouncers are onto you... who'd have thought it? Pretty shithouse by you tbh. Talk about ruining the vibe of a place.

I'm sorry but it's just what I like to do. You can persecute me or just respect my lifestyle. I didn't join this website to be discriminated against.

Right, you joined bigfooty so you could ask which nightclub in Melbourne would let you smoke pipes in broad view.

That's just absolutely sick to be honest. Meth is destroying young families and footballers both are massive losses to the local communities. If you smoke meth being kicked out is maybe a sign you should stop smoking that bloody guff.

However I have heard of people going to Brunswick and putting shard in their sisha
