If you enjoy running and keeping fit especially when you travel, which are some of the best places you have run in cities and towns around Australia?

These are some of mine:

PERTH - The Swan River around Perth Water and the city, South Perth/Victoria Park/Burswood foreshore, Kings Park, Nedlands and Melville Foreshores, Fremantle, Cottesloe Beach.

ADELAIDE - Around the Torrens River, the Parklands surrounding Adelaide CBD, Glenelg, Port Adelaide

MELBOURNE - Along the Yarra River close to the city and MCG, the Tan Track, St. Kilda Beach, Albert Park Lake

GEELONG - The Geelong Foreshore

SYDNEY - Darling Harbour, The Domain, Hyde Park, Manly Beach

CANBERRA - Lake Burley Griffin

BRISBANE - Along the Brisbane River on both sides - crossing the Story Bridge is a must. Roma Street Parklands also good.

GOLD COAST - The Broadwater Parklands, along the Nerang River and the many running tracks on the coast through Southport, Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Mermaid Beach, Burleigh and all the suburbs further down the coast to the NSW border.

DARWIN - Darwin CBD, Bicentennial Park, Darwin Waterfront and along the coast north of the CBD.

Perth - Helena valley, kings park, bold park

Sydney - centennial park, coogee to little bay, middle harbour trails up to Davidson, royal national park, iron cove bay, Glebe foreshore

Bold Park! Definitely my favourite place to run in Perth!

MELBOURNE: St Kilda beach to Sandringham. Yarra Boulevard.

One of my favourite longer runs is start in St Kilda towards Middle Park, cut across through to Albert Park Lake and go North up to Albert Road , through the Domain Interchange and the east side of the Tan down to the Yarra and follow it through Southbank past the Casino.
There is a little backstreet action behind DFO/southwarf to get along the Port Melbourne light rail which takes you to the Spirit of Tasmania and then from there is the foreshore back to St Kilda.

HOBART: Sandy Bay foreshore or the climb up Mt Wellington for the keen hill climber.

ADELAIDE: North Adelaide parks.

PERTH: Kings Park

In Adelaide around the Torrens and North Adelaide is great. But out of the CBD along the Torrens can be even better.

Up North for example when you start to get into the foothills which is good if you are looking for some hills work but it is also very pleasant.
