Didn't hear it personally but apparently Nathan Burke gave his opinion on SEN on who the best player was for each jumper number. A few dogs supporters are cranky he didn't rate Cooney best no. 17.
Did a bit of research and interested in people's opinions on who you think are the best in each number.
Here's my list based on Bulldog players ( some you would not have heard of obviously)
What do you think? Have I left anyone out
– Tredrea/Hall – Farren not in the contest
-Murphy/Roughead on 2008 form hard to split
Bartel no contest
Cross ahead of Didak and Kerr on 2008 form but Kerr has runs on the board overall
- Sam Mitchell over Boyd comfortably ( not an insult to Boyd – I rate him ) and Judd’s a fair player too
– Johnno is the one
– tough competition – Hayes/Burgoyne/Simpson/Medhurst 2008 only all good but Westy overall career ( but hardly played this year so fair enough)
Shaun Burgoyne then Hahn/Hudghton
-Gilbee vs Crawford, J Kelly and Edwards tough call
– Eagle not in the contest- McVeigh/Pendlebury/Bateman – not a great number
– Streeter LOL – Joel Corey and daylight
– Richo wins over Reiwoldt, Sewell, Tommy hasn’t played
Gia not far off – who’s better Jordie? Oh of course Dale Wonder Boy Thomas
Joel Selwood at the moment – Callan Ward has to play first
– Luke Hodge edges out Hudson comfortably
Jonathan Brown beats Griff comfortably ATM
in 08 Cooney miles ahead of K Johnson and Kennelly –Burns a joke in 08

Tough one – Cox and Black just beat S Johnson – Hill on his way but out of league
Aker not far off – Corey Jones, Mooney ( not this year but last year), Leo Barry – fading?
– not a lot of greats in this number – who did he pick? Dylan a bit early but who else is there? Mal Michael, Rhyce Shaw?
– Lance Franklin/McLeod not to mention Glass, N Thompson ( good number ) What about Doogs? Ha
