Just wondering what is the best racing game you have played, be it on a computer or one of those other machines.

Mine would have to be Hounded on the Commodore 64 :p

Yes Hounded was fantastic, in fact I still have my C64 and hounded but it just sits there gathering dust.

It would have been good if it made it to the PC

I remember one I used to play at school. You'd bet on the card and watch the races. Can't remember what it was called, something like "Day at the races" but I'm not sure.

I've got a PC game here called 'Hooves of Thunder'.

It's not an overly sophisticated game, but its the best i've found.

Have only owned Hooves of Thunder, which isn't a bad game. Only problem is that sometimes a horse that you have purchased will suddenly disappear from your stable should you lose a race

Claiming races mate.

In some races in the states all horses are up for sale, anyone can buy them.

They have claiming races in Harness Racing in Victoria.

There is a playstation game, Gallop Racer. That is by far the best.

Its a great game, but i could not find an English version, it was half english, half Japanese.

Makes it difficult when trying to produce a star when you breed your horses.

The only English game is G1Jockey, just released on PS2. I bought it but returned it within 48 hours because i finished the game.

There is no breeding or anything like that, just pure racing.

I love that Horse Racing arcade game, at Crown me and my cousin usually attract a bit of crowd when we go head to head, very competitive.

As for PC a game called Good to Firm is great, not a big Hooves of Thunder fan though.
