From the eagles the standouts would have to be Cox and Fletcher, but we've also had Lynch, Nicoski and B.Jones to name a few others that have shown a bit of talent at afl level

Chad Fletcher would have to be the pick of the bunch.

At the Crows, Rutten has proved to be a real find and should turn out to be a fine KPP.

Rupert Betheras and Tarkyn Lockyer.
Actually Rupe was not on a rookie list.
Back then they had supplimentary lists, which could include any one not just rookies - Rupe was on that

Essendon has got a fair amount of mileage with players coming off the rookie list...Rioli and Mark Johnson have done 6-7 years from their efforts and Peverill has already 4 years up!

Thornton's a superstar in the making. Considering he's a tall aswell, could quite possibly be the best rookie elevation in history.

I reckon that's a fair call but he does have Mal Michael to catch.
I don't think Kirk has too much more improvement......Chad Fletcher and Dean Rioli however, could become two of the best midfielders in the competition.

Bret Thornton is a standout for Carlton but Ian Prendergast is another who is really finding his feet in the big time now.
Old Dark Prenda was originally drafted so i don't clasiffy him as a true rookie.

In pre-rookie list days, Cameron Bruce came off Melbourne's supplementary list to be drafted in the national draft at pick 64.
What are you talking about, he was drafted in 1999. Rookie list started in 97.

As for the best ever, Mal Michael/Chad Fletcher .... Mark Johnson..... Daylight.
