Race 1: Tribal Wisdom $34 win $8.70 place. Well drawn and, if ridden to take advantage of it, could be a factor here. His win in the Listed Gosford Guineas over I Thought So suggests there's some ability there. Mixes form but has had some excuses and has mostly been in stronger fields.
Race 4: This race is a bit like having to choose between my children - a bunch of ever-underrated reliable punt heroes like Turnitaround and Jacquinot Bay in this but I'm taking them on, expecting that barriers may bring them unstuck.
Will back Count Da Vinci ($15/$4 B365). Count Da Vinci surely rolls forward and should be right in this.

Caulfield 21/10 race 9 SOLD FOR SONG. $19/$5.50 with Ladbrokes. Draws a good barrier (rare occurrence for her) unlike a few key rivals and gets nice weight too. If she takes advantage of the barrier, she should fight out the finish.

Comes through the same Our Crown Mistress race (quick time) as Sworn Evidence. Good form judges are getting pretty excited about Sworn Evidence but there wasn’t much between these 2, and they go up from 1400m to 1700m and this one’s pedigree suggests that’ll suit.
