Sports Best Running Shoes?

Buy a cheap running show, insert a heel wedge/gel lift and foot inserts and you will get better comfort and less impact. Why waste so much money of these shoes its all just advertising and scientific buzz words..

Shouldnt go in with an idea of what shoe to get, just get a shoe that suits your foot and you should be fine.

Having said that, Asics are almost always my shoe of choice, seem to suit my feet.

Best place to buy them is the Smith St. area with "factory outlets". Got a pair of Super Glide Adidas for $100 when they were advertised at least $100 dearer at the Melbourne store. Do at least 8 clicks / day & they are going strong 5 months later.

Asics, definitely. They are really comfy. :thumbsu::D:p I got my pair of Asics at a discount and in USD :p:D:thumbsu:, because I was there for a holiday. That really made my day. I think I should be running more often to make really good use of them ...

I have extremely broad feet, which makes shoe-shopping an absolute nightmare.

I am now very, very strongly considering this brand:

http://www.altrarunning.com.au/

But there's a couple of important features that make their shoes different to almost every other brand:

https://www.altrarunning.com/run-better#FootShaped

https://www.altrarunning.com/run-better#ZeroDrop

If anyone was to consider this brand, you need to be mindful of this "Zero Drop" feature, as it seriously changes how your feet/ankles/leg muscles work. Bigtime. Also, they have different models for men and women, and different levels of cushioning. This brand is stocked in Australia in the Eastern States, but not in SA.

I'm hoping there are other people in SA with broad feet, as greater numbers of potential customers might encourage SA retailers to start stocking this brand.

People need to contact the company to let them know -

Then ask for the Australian Distributor.

Totally as an aside, the most amazing athlete I've ever seen wears this brand:
