Best Seven Footy Theme

Over the years we've heard various theme songs Channel Seven have used:

'The thing about football'
'Thank you for 100 years'
'Rock the G'
'Stand Tough'

I know I've missed a few others out, can't put a name to the tune.

And for WAFL/Westar followers, do you remember a few old tunes:

'I'd rather be at the football'
'Thats the kind of football that I like'

I always preferred the 'Unbelievable' one.

I also hated the 'Ball - Yeah' one with a passion. I used to always think what if someone from overseas was visiting Australia and saw that! Would probably think we were a bunch of dicks!

There was a really embarassing theme around about 1992, which was called "BALL...YEAH!"

All the commentators were running around in guernseys, with this ridiculous theme playing in the background.

I liked the thing about footy one they used in 1996. Ive been trying to find an MP3 on that because i really like that tune.

Up There Cazaly was originally one of Seven's footy themes.....

I hated "Ball...Yeah!!" It was so bad, I still remember it. (AHHHHHH!)

Just remebering all those horrible theme tunes that Seven have inflicted on us over the years just really brings it home to me...

Seven has done a shitty job with the football over the years, in the future we will look back and the only thing worth wondering about will be why did Seven manage to hang onto the footy for as long as they did ?

Truly - they just comletely MANGLE it- year in, year out.

You can't beat Up There Cazaly or One Day In September. That's The Thing About Football held its own too. Others have been carp, eg: If The House Is Rockin' Don't Bother Knockin', Rock The G and that gawdawful Stand Tough they had last year.

Anyone remember Australia's Favourite Sons? Circa '90 I think. Wasn't too bad from memory.
