Just a theory, but I'd like to see a couple of our guys that struggle with accuracy, adopt the old style of drop punt - thumbs behind the ball, beside the lace, and lay back a little on the kick. It's more natural and relaxed than hunched over with hands in front. Also helps balance and timing, and guiding the ball onto the boot. Someone like Menegola may benefit. I guess it depends on the mechanics and flexibility of a player.
Laying back on the kick is exactly what Dangerfield described as the problem that he had in missing those easy shots against Hawthorn in 2016.
