Well with plenty of injuries and so forth im wondering who you ppl think should be the lineup for this Sundays game. And in there right positions.

FB Wirrpunda McIntosh Prior
HB Collica Jakovich Morrison
C Banfield Kemp* Braun
HF Matera Donnelly Jones
FF Merenda Cummings* Wilson
R Gardiner Cousins Kerr

Int Cox Taylor Williams Fletcher
Emg Carroll Harding
* = if fit.

Wirrpunda needs to be in defence where he is most damaging same goes for Cousins, he must start on the ball.
Taylor did enough to suggest he should play again but his kicking needs to find targets. Wilson might be dropped, but not for lack of effort, they should have given him more time on the field. But seen as we lost a couple of talls in Glass and Seira expect him to be out there. Half forward or in a pocket. Collica impressed me and will start off the Half Back line with Prior in a pocket. I had a tough decision between Turnball and Cox but decided that Cox should make his debut, we need to blood these youngsters sooner or later so why not.
Harding only comes in for the loss of Glass which is heartbreaking. I think Glass will be missed more than Read or Embly, i really thought it was going to be his breakthrough year. Still could be but 8 weeks is a long time to wait. Kerr is automatic selection after a very impressive showing against Geelong.

Thoughts??

i would probably replace harding with Williams. Also, i think green should be given a chance again. He did well last year and deserves a chance to play again.

It's certainly harder to pick the team this year than it was to pick it last year. Lets hope that all this "potential" can be realised.

You already have Williams on the bench and Harding as an emergency.
I would go with Turnbull because of versatility. KJ reckons his best footy has been in the ruck. I disagree, when Jako had his knee reconstruction Turnbull played CHB very well. So I think he can be used as a replacement for Glass, at Half forward or bbackup ruckman. Cox's day will come.
I would plum for Antonowitz at CHF with Donnelly alongside. KC green is an option too. Humm could be good too.

So i did forget about Williams.
Just saw the team on The Footy Show. Gonna go take a closer look on afl.com then ill post my thoughts.

Oh yeah and where is everyone. The Eagles board has dropped off the last few days with something like 10 posts in a two days?

Heres the team that is on AFL.com.

Carroll McIntosh Prior
Williams Jakovich Morrison
Braun Cousins Banfield
Matera Wilson Kerr
Wirrpunda Cummings Fletcher
Gardiner Jones Taylor

Int from Collica Cox Turnball Munro Merenda Hunter Chambers.

??????

Again Wirrpunda in a forward pocket!!! God dammit isnt it obvious that that didnt work.
Cousins not on the ball?? I hope they line up differently come sunday. Collica i thought played really well last week so i dont know why he isnt in the starting 22 when Carroll is???

Good news though with Cummings lining up at FF and no Kelly in Sydney's midfield, so a little optimism seeing as it is at Subi.

I still picked Sydney in my tips though.

Get Wirrpunda out of the forward line, keep Fletcher in the pocket and toss in Kane Munro in the other. The kid has proven in the pre-season he's gained a lot of experience and could develop into a real dangerous goalsneak.

We need Wirrpunda's drive out of the backline which is what he was doing very well in the Ansett Cup.
