Konstanty very fortunate there, I'd suggest. Probably not entirely on him though. It's Rawlings and the recruiters that seem to think small forwards should be avoided

Depends, but assuming Tucker is the defensive/wing utility, a pressure player is ideal. But we all know L Mac is going to be picked with Stephens as sub.

I would have Cooper as sub, Whitlock on the bench and Tucker as the seventh defender rotating with Scott.

I’d have Fisher in the last spot pending his fitness ahead of R1. I think he offers more than lmac, konstanty, and ford (line ball though)

Then either Ford or Stephens as sub.

What is the story with fisher? I still think he's best team, but he might have to have a run in the 2s first to get some touch.

Doubt Teakle will make it, we didn’t want to trial 3 talls yesterday. I’d wager RHJ has that bench spot.

Scott is best 22, likely over Duursma. Rest looks pretty spot on.

We should be playing a third tall who can second ruck like teakle but look to be making that mistake not to. Hopefully doesn’t take half the year to figure that out again

I don't see us with an extra tall for Rd 1 given we've not played one over the pre season (when simulating a real team). Like it or not I don't think it's in the plan for now. It doesn't gel with the messaging:

• Team needs wins
• Team has brought in Darling, Parker & Daniel

Everything points to a team that whilst still developing has drawn a line and saying they are taking it seriously - we would have given an extra tall a run by now if we had an intention of playing them. Just IMO.
