Agree, but J. Watson beat him in round 13Crowley. Don't think he was beaten last year, shut down all the comp's best players, won the BnF.

Sewell, if he was in this poll.
Carrazzo/Selwood in terms of being able to hurt the opposition by winning their own ball as well as doing the stopping role.
In terms of a purely defensive role: Crowley.
I think whoever chose McGinnity was having genuine lolzOK, I get that Kane is past his best and all, but he's behind Patrick McGinnity? Kane's left nut is a better tagger than Patrick McGinnity.
Whilst he is small in height & spends most time of each game in the defensive half, he is most certainly a tagger. Not sure of ops choice for Tagger for Sydney either, Nick Smith is a small defender, Craig Bird has been the one given tagging roles.
Why is Cheney the Hawks tagger?Whilst he is small in height & spends most time of each game in the defensive half, he is most certainly a tagger.
Sewell's too good to be classed as a tagger. Why is Cheney the Hawks tagger?

Well not to know is understandable, as even some Hawk fans have no idea who our tagger is. But it is ShielsSewell's too good to be classed as a tagger.
Couldn't see a suitable replacement, went with Cheney... dunno why... maybe he looks like a tagger

Ie. Smith. Yes he does play on the Cyril/Milne/Betts/Ballantyne types, but against other teams that do not possess such dominant small forwards, he quite often takes a player that spends considerable time in the midfield, thus moving himself further up the ground and leaving the defensive role with Mattner.Tagger is a label generally reserved for a midfielder whose primary goal is to negate the influence of his opponent.
Bird is more-or-less a defensive forward, occasionally roleplaying mid, he's not really your typical tagger (I know he "tagged" Hodge in the GF)Craig Bird and Rhys Shaw play that role for the swans or on occasion O'Keefe/Jack (although they usually just go head to head)
Glad we have picken too, love him.Picken got to represent...
Crowley is very good also
